We're all fans and people need to just accept it and move on already. As long as they make music that I personally like, I don't really care to segregate people. Not to mention how much of a turn off it is to those new fans.... We should be embracing them instead of ridiculing them. There will be those who only like one or two songs, but for those fans who actually are looking at the band's whole catalog and have decided that they like OBTN the best, who is anyone here to judge? |

I understand what you're saying, I mean, I wouldn't want to spend money on stuff I didn't like either but if you get the chance (maybe someone you know has their albums or something) give it a try. To be honest I didn't like On Call or Charmer much to begin with either but they've since grown on me.  Problem solved! Someone told me about imeem where i can listen to all the songs free! And amazingly,both songs i've heard so far i LOVE! Boy you really cant tell enough just by listening to 30 second samples...i am for sure going to buy all the cd's now! God i'm just in awe here! Matt is blowing my mind with his guitar,i'm listening to Crawl right now... *closes eyes* |

I personally think everyone is just getting too touchy over the divide for OBTN. Yes some fans dislike it and some love it. I don't think anyone here is putting anyone down for either or, but whether you hate it or love it you're going to care passionately about it and therefore argue your reasons of why you feel that way.
The boys themselves realize that this album has cause debates and arguments critically as well as with fans, so why get upset that people don't share the same opinions?? Disagreements are going to happen but there's no reason for anyone to take them personally.

Er...could we...um...could we go back to having fun making wild, hypothetical situations about the new album now? Seems like no news has rolled in, and the tension is getting palpable; none of us could possibly predict what's coming up yet.
I say next album should have Caleb playing the accordion with Jared and Nathan singing doo-wop tunes over a reggae beat! Matthew can spin the turntables.

As for their older stuff,i really strongly disliked the singles (On Call, Charmer,Four Kicks)  Two of my favourite KOL songs! haha. I'm sure you'll grow to like them when I first heard Charmer I was like wtf is this :-\. Oh yeahh, I would rather them make and album that sounds more like ASH (or even Y&YM, although I'm sure that no one else would agree with me about that ha). I wouldn't like OBTN part 2 or something that sounds stadium rock again. I personally think their older songs are better live. I love YAYM!! And I agree, SOF is a pretty damn good song. Makes you wanna belt it out |

I got over it and everyone else should too. I whined, left a show early, and acted like it was a person thing. I still love Kings of Leon. If you don't then tell non KOL fans, not us. I'm excited for new songs, new album, like i'm excited for christmas

I think i am the only so called 'OLD FAN' who thinks OBTN is KOL best! I love all 4 albums but i my opinion each album has got better and better long may it continue!
