caleb, please put on a multicolored horizontally stripped female sweater and write me a decent song. Haha, so well put. And a further agreement on the tacky comment.

Aw, yeah. I have to admit I love Sex On Fire and I kinda went a tad overboard trying to explain the utter sassiness of the video to my friends... but I've been a KOL fan since Aha Shake Heartbreak, and I just tend to think of each album as different, but good. Honestly, I haven't listened to BOTT as much as the others. (I get like that with some albums. I can't explain it.) But I have a few songs I love on that album, too. The big thing for me was when I could actually understand what Caleb was saying. Lol. When I heard him sing for the first time I was like "What??" But (and I hope this doesn't sound bad) it really grew on me, and I love it! It's just so unique. (Duh.) And I mean, I still love the music they make, its just different then what we die-hards are maybe accustomed to... that's my two cents anyway.

yeah sugarshotgun, i can see your point. i think my biggest problem is that i just WISH i loved this new record, cause obviously it's more fun that way! anyway, tomorrow night im going to see them in washington, dc (omgomgomgomgomg im dying)
so THEN i'll be able to see how it sounds nice and live... if they act like pricks.... what they're wearing.
im pretty tomorrow is gonna be the best night everrr

yeah they absolutely lost it. the girlfriends kinda give it a weird vibe. i got to meet jessie baylin at her concert, and she's completely wonderful, so i'm thinking if i actually met all of them i'd like them... but it's just kind of a BUMMER. there's no like blantant fucking around with the fans or any delicious innuendos in the lyrics. i saw the use somebody video and i was like oh for GOSH SAKE THIS SONG IS ABOUT LILY FREAKING ALDRIDGE??!?! shwatttt guys?? don't put your girlfriends in your video, that's tacky tacky tacky! i don't need to see jared make out with alisa, that's their business! their videos just bug me now. sex on fire is just "ooo lets make caleb look all sexual" which is fabulous to some extent... but it's just like oh come ON. and does anyone else notice that their clothing is getting pretty freaking LIMITED? it's like... black jeans that arent as skinny and tight as they used to be... a white tee shirt or some other neutral color... possibly a vest... boots. caleb, please put on a multicolored horizontally stripped female sweater and write me a decent song. YES YES!! Thank you!! Karma for that man. The Use Somebody video drove me mad too. It's just sad. how much it seems they've altered their image. Yikes.

i am a big fan of old KOL stuff, and i can't say i'm too excited abt the short hair and catchy tunes with no solos.but people,we have been fans for so long and there's got to be a different reason why we stick to them, correct if wrong. well, thats my case,i've kinda gotten to love the boys and i trust them.every artist has to explore.who knows what they'll bring in the future, and if i dont like it,ill just go back to my four kicks, but they sure have done enough to gain my support at all times! anyway, the songs stay, right? there ya go,nd sorry for copy/pasting it from the liam gallagher hread,i just couldnt think all over again btw,i agree with the female sweater thing anyway

I'm not crazy about this new album (compared to their others) but I still enjoy it and this is a great point...when the Kings are finished and look back at their catalog of music, it would be awful if it were all the same! I actually remember a Tavis Smiley interview with Prince where he said if he looked back on his musical history and saw that all of his records didn't experiment or dive into new creative ideals that he would feel unsuccessful at the end of the day. The Kings are doing something new here. I'm with teikoo on trusting the guys; its exciting to have been along for the ride the past few years seeing what they have come up with! sidenote: Since the instant I heard it I've felt "Use Somebody" reminded me of a Kelly Clarkson song...just sayin...haha

I don't really get why people are so worked up about this...bands write stuff about what's important to them...KOL are changing as people, all growed up 'n' stuff, and if they're now writing (and making vids) about their missuses and not about shagging groupies and herpes then all well and good. At least they're not dipping their wicks in whatever comes along and catching nasty things anymore. They're just now concerned with the same things as any *ahem* normal 25/30 year old... Why do so many people hate change???
