I just read this on Rollingstone.com today. Liam says on the Kings:I like the Kings Of Leon, but I don't know about this fucking new record. " I like the old stuff,I like his voice when it comes on. But it seems to me they've gone for the bucks, man. When they first came out I was going,"Who the fuck is this?"I'm not dissing them because I really like them, but it's like they've got this U2 sound and you can do better than that." They were cool but now they've all got their sleeves cut off." I hate to say I finally agree with something Liam has said. This new Kings Of Leon is alienating fans and ruining their legacy. They will forever be known as sellouts and a band that does everything for the wrong reasons. That said I will always love their old records.RIP KOL 2003-2006. Let the flaming begin.

I just wanted to comment on Liam's comments - I don't follow Oasis that much, but knowing what they're like (outspoken, quick to criticise et.c.) I think Liam was actually quite respectful. I mean, he just stated that he didn't like the new album, but that he still like the Kings - and to me that's Liam being quite nice :-)

Maybe Liam should be so critical of his own music because it sucks. So quick to criticize everything else when most of it is better than the hackneyed drivel they churn out.

I don't get why people get so mad....Everyone has an opinion. Granted it's Liam Gallagher, so it's a nice statement for him. But, it's still funny.
"I like the old stuff" - I challenge anyone to find an Oasis fan who prefers anything post-Morning Glory to the first two albums.
"they've gone for the bucks" - £45 a ticket Liam? Ring any bells?

Firstly, yes I'm an oasis fan anyone can realize that from my name. But if you take it from the point of view of Liam as someone who is just a fan. He makes a valid point, they did take on some elements from U2, which to be honest I do dislike, because I loathe U2. Also, they did sort of 'go for the money' so far as trying to make it big in America. I don't see anything wrong with that. I just wish there wouldn't have been any U2 involved...

I can agree somewhat, I really dislike their newest one, and I really dislike Heath Chemistry. But I liked Don't Believe The Truth quite a bit. No doubt though their best works were their first 3 albums in my opinion. I hope it doesn't turn out the same for the kings.
