It's one of my favourite albums of all time, and I've been buying albums for 30 years! I loved it when I first heard it, I love it more after hearing some of the songs live. I listen to it every day, usually twice each day.  |

I usually do not comment on these boards as most of you are younger than me and dont need my two cents.
With that being said I could not stay out of this one.
For starters coming on a bands fan board to say their album is dissapointing is one thing, ( I would not be happy if some irrelavant fans did not like the album, all great things are hated by some) but to come back and call it garbage is just low class.
electrussia should be banned from this board.

hello to all my fellow KOL fans...
look, i dont play any instruments, and im only 15..but dont let that throw u off me...
the thing is, im a freakin MASSIVE (not as in overweight) KOL fan, like im sure a lot u guys here are... the thing is, with ASH and Y&YM the songs on those albums use to make me want to get up and dance my ass off (i know its sounds cheesy)..especially on my way to school every morning on the bus, but i cant, coz that would do my school embarassment ... more to the point, i recently brought BOTT and may i say, i dont really feel like dancing wen i hear this album..now i know that KOL usually have 1 or 2 accoustic-ish songs on each of the their albums (trani, milk, o dusty..u know the slow ones)..which i adore! i feel so great wen i listen to them songs...but i mean, BOTT just has too much "un-happy" songs..i dunno how to put it into words..but if i really wanted to listen to something like BOTT, i'd just listen to audioslave (who i am a fan of, in all honesty)..im not trying to be a smartass wen i say that, but BOTT is just SO anti-KOL... the thing i love about KOL is how theyre arent like my other favourite bands like foo fighters and audioslave..theyre so unique and different (even tho BOTT is, its just not unique in the way that makes me wanna dance...i guess maybe its full of more emotion..?)
look, i appreciate that the followill boys did experiment and did create different music to wat they normally wouldve (which is good em), however, they didnt have to take so much of their old style away!
i kind of feel like this album is semi-emo...maybe not emo, but just sooo sort of metalish, rockish..lol i know that sounds funny, but it just doesnt have those old guitar and bass solos which i loved, coz theyre so uplifting..wen i listen to the 2 past albums, i feel so passionate about how everyone should buy a KOL album, i really wanna scream it to the world..but not with BOTT.. overall its an alright album..i guess its just not their best
i know that within a month i'll be listening to BOTT nonstop, and that i'll absolutely LOVE IT, coz it will grow on me, but all i really wanna say to KOL is:
PLEASE MAKE THE 4TH KOL ALBUM USING UR OLD STYLE --> I HOPE THAT BOTT HASNT TAKEN THAT AWAY FROM YOU..i hope that BOTT is loved so much that they dont make another album similar to ASH and Y&YM..i do like BOTT, but i like the old stuff moreee

When the record comes out and you buy it, do yourself and KOL a favor and DO NOT under any circumstances listen to the track entitled "CAMARO" this is by far the worst song on the record and unless you want to feel sad do not listen to it. This is all my opinion and you all should judge for yourselves, I just needed to vent. BUT SERIOUSLY!!! DO NOT LISTEN TO CAMARO!! O WOW! I can't believe someone didn't like that song. It's one of my favs on the CD! |

Alot of you on this board make me sick.
I never knew kol had such a broad array of cumguzzlers blindly supporting them.
I am so sick of reading the retarded things uttered on these boards, how much fun is it to agree with everything all of the time.
If you all werent prepubescent or 30 and still trying to be hip I would probably care a little more.
bott is weak and alot of people agree with me. they were booed for playing things off of it at coachella, i was there.

Before you go spouting your messageboard social rhetoric you should maybe scan over some of the recent posts. Because apparently some dude wants to tie me up and beat me, or fuck me, im not sure, but i am so down. I love the kings of leon. The point of all of this is that i was looking for a reason to like this dissapointing record and no one tries to help a fellow fan get it. I just recently got into them b/c I knew I would be seeing them at Coachella. Im really into all 3 cds, but I have to say my favorite is BoTT. I can see how somebody wouldnt like it if they were totally into the first 2 because this one is the most different out of the 3, but I guess it appeals to my taste. Yeah but thats just responding to your first post .. Im not gonna go through 10 pages and bug you about every comment b/c you can say what you want and thats not gonna change my opinion and I dont plan on changing yours. However I dont remember them being booed b/c of their new stuff at Coachella. I was towards the front on the left and everybody was so into it and singing along. Where were they booing? I definatley didnt hear it. |
