haha you guys are funny! i love the album. i think it's fantastic. genius even. i think it's far better than the other work they've done. when i first heard it, i was giddy... and i dont get that way about much music considering i live in the states (we all know the crap we endure). i'm definitely not "musically naive" as one of you clever chaps put it... in fact just the opposite. and when i get excited about an album, it says a lot. i'm excited about this. i think mcfearless is one of the best songs i've heard. i also think that fans is amazing and also ragoo... i dont understand how you people who dont like it...well, i dont understand how you dont like it.

ahh, someone else who's brilliant!! haha i too think it's their best work to date. YAYM was a little flat for me... although, i have to say, some great work on it as well (trani, joes head, talahina sky). i thought ASH was great, much much better than YAYM with brilliant tunes. but i think that the new album far surpases both albums. my favorite album in a long time. it's been on repeat for 4 days now!

From the man himself:
Caleb: "A band should be able to flip their shit- it's an art form"
The whole interview is on "the band" side of the Forum. There you go...

However, there is plenty of art that isnt good. Art for arts sake is always well intended but doesnt always hit the mark. So this really doesnt change anything.

More in favour, if we're gonna talk about Art for real, we chould stop, since Art is subjective and there is really such thing as "good" or "bad" Art, Art IS and that's all, there are things that can be Art for me and not for the rest of the world, how can we meassure Art, for christ sake?

Haha! 2) Yeah, great solution indeed!

I dont want to get into an argument with anyone and usually i just read the comments posted on the board but....... I think 'On Call' is weak as a first single, it's a good song but i think 'My Party', 'Fans' or 'Ragoo' would have been a better choice to kick the album off. The video for it is also 'forgettable' as in it's nothing special and its awkward to watch. I like the new album, i think there are some great songs on there but also a few average ones....... But that's what we love about the Kings Of Leon, everyone has a different favourite song, and if you had to make a compliation CD up of the 3 albums theyve done, well i know about 5 or 6 from Because Of The Times would definatley make the list

I love the new album, I am so proud of them. They have the balls to do something different to the last two albums. If they were just producing the same thing over and over it would get very tired, very fast! Although at first I wasn't very fond of 'On Call', I love it now. It is definately a grower of a tune. The video is just not good (sorry boys)but the song is great. I knew they would prove my first impression wrong. I agree with what thatfollowillbitch said about the first time they heard the album for the first time. I was as happy as a pig in shit! Heh heh I see the karma farmer has been a busy bee. Those of you who don't like it are of course entitled to your wrong opinion.

No one's saying they shouldn't be evolving or trying new things, it's just that it didn't work out for them on this album, hopefully the next one's better.
