well i agree that we should not be insulting U2, i mean theyre not the ones writing nasty things about them! its their stupid fans, and in my OPINION Bono is a great man, i respct him a lot for trying to use his popularity for the good, not just for stupid stuff!

if we start criticising bono because of u2 fans criticising kings of leon, then we'll look like the u2 fans and therefore we'll have no argument!

I agree. I personally am not a huge U2 fan, but I like that Bono is trying to use his fame for something positive. I don't even blame the fans for not liking KOL because everyone has their own taste. I just hate if people are booing. That's when I have a problem with them.

this is from the main site board, someone who went to a U2 show: "I was at the show last night - (april 5). My wife and I went to see KOL and stayed for the U2 show. The kings of course rocked but the arena was probably 20% full when they played. The sound was not that great and the volume was about 50% lower than the volume for U2. There are 4 screens above the stage that show each U2 member during the U2 show. During the Kings performance the screens showed the disinterested people in the pit waiting for U2. We got in trouble for standing up during the KOL set because the senior citezen U2 crowd was sitting. I am 31 myself so i am no spring chicken but the U2 crowd is getting pretty old. We refused to sit down when the ushers came over to ask us to sit. They started with Molly's Chambers. They also played , Taper Jean girl, Pistol of fire, happy alone, milk, wasted time, the bucket, king of rodeo, razz and closed with head to toe. (not in that order and i might have missed a few) The crowd did not really care about them and they got polite cheers after each song. The bucket got the biggest half ass cheer. Caleb thanked the crowd and U2 during the set and knocked the mic over after head to toe. A few old folks came up to me after and asked me the band's name cause there was no sign on the stage beside the KOL on the bass drum. I told them KINGS OF LEON and they said they will check them out. I bought 3 KOL shirts and watched the mellow U2 show and really wished that i went to see just KOL at the roxy again. now those were 2 great shows at the roxy. So all in all KOL rocks but i felt kinda bad for them since nobody really cared but i am sure they are making pretty good money and getting some US exposure." converting the oldies!!

Wow that amazes me, how could they not want to party? WTF mate, for sure. I know ill be dancing for the kings, and giving them some good support. We have floor tickets, and if the U2 fans dont show up for the kings, all the better for me to get a close upfront spot! Wait did he kick down the mic in a Fuck You kind of manner, because if he did that would be fucking awesome. Also funny story, we ordered our tickets on line for a hefty price 90 a ticket,(2 ticks), then a couple days later we get two extra random tickets for no reason and for FREE!. it was pimped out.

fuck man those fucking tikets are expensive as a mother!!! i thought $80 was expensive before they sould out, now people are selling them for $150 or $200 and i even say a pair that were going for $500 can u fucking believe that?? i mean who would be stupid enough to buy them, i mean if u really wanted to see them and if u really are a big fan u should have bought them when the tickets first came out!!
