did you read the part where one person said that a certain area of the crowd were booing them?!
i dunno how important it is to the band that they win over a bunch of U2 fans or if it's just being on the tour that they're bothered about, having their name next to U2's.
the experience will do them good though, playing to those huge arenas and playing to a not so easy crowd. i just hope the slatings don't get to them too much.

Back in the 80's (when U2 peaked musically), the only kids who liked U2 were the kids everyone loves to hate-the football players and cheerleaders. U2 fans have never had any musical taste. They are the kind of people who really are just followers instead of leaders. Bands like KOL are for leaders like us-creators of the new and unique in society. Fuck the ignorant U2 masses! I hate "stadium" rock!

i've never read that much about the support bands for U2 but the kings seem to somehow contrast that whole huge arena type deal. it all seems a bit shallow, i'm not a fan of U2 (my s/n is a strangely supportive piss-take) but well i dunno i'm not suprised in a way that they aren't going down to well, cause i don't think most U2 fans have enough curiosity to wanna learn about them. they seem far too easily put off by lil things like, not being able to decipher what caleb's singing and the sound & stupid things like that. there ain't much consideration and compromising going on there and for supposed music fans, that itself sucks!

Indra and Medmo said it best on that forum that your not there to see KOL your there to see U2 so dont go moaing that you dont get to to bono.And most U2 fans are only in love with U2,like most of us here dislike Rap and R'n'B but we dont say its fucking horrible and dont want to see them its there job and booing 'em there trying,so support them even if you dont like it and
But ive dislked U2 with a passion all 'massive' fans are a bit narrowminded and if it's not U2 or there taste its all complaing.There new Album woudlnt of been as big if Channel4 didnt give them the title of best band in music for 50 years when they did that program.And radio 1 doing a massive com-po-tish-on (cant spell it) to meet them.The sooner they retire the better
Plus i dont think KOL are a support band for big band tours or festival there more a 'gig' band

I tried to reply but that forum is so confusing, I got bored even trying.
I don't understand their attitudes at all. U2 fans are notoriously fanatic, why ruin what is bound to be one of the best nights of their lives by starting it out so negatively? Its really quite sad...
