Haha oh alright, here goes... if you don't get some of the words, they tend to be spelt wrong on purpose to make you laugh... and the story doesn't really make much sense whatsoever, I just find it funny "One fat morning Eric Hearble wake up with an abnorman fat growth a bombly on his head. 'Oh crumb,' said Eric Hearble, who was a very very, surprised. Anyway he carried on as Norman for why should he worried? All of a suddy he heard a small little voice calling him by name, 'Eric... Eric Hearble' it seemed to say though I couldn't say for sure. That night the very same voice spoke saying 'Eric, I am a growth on your very head, help me, Eric.' Soon Eric became very attached to his fat growth friend. 'Call me Scab,' the voice said and he was. 'Call me Eric,' Eric said naturly as he could. From then on you never saw Eric without the big fat growth on his head. And that's why Eric Hearble lost his job teaching spastics to dance. 'We're not having a cripple teaching our lads,' said Headmaster." xxx

There's a line in another one where it says "Dave leapt off the bus like a burning spastic" Ah, I love John and his silly humour I've done my own attempts at two of his drawings too... they didn't come out too bad. Anyway, I'm going to sleep, I gotta get up tomorrow! But I'll be back for more Beatlechat tomorrow! xxx

Okay I've decided to show you all a poem from John's first book, "In His Own Write". It's a more serious one, but I like it. Gather round everyone! *AHEM* "I sat belonely down a tree humbled fat and small. A little lady sing to me I couldn't see at all. I'm looking up and at the sky to find such wondrous voice. Puzzly puzzle, wonder why, I hear but have no choice. 'Speak up, come forth, you ravel me' I potty menthol shout. 'I know you hiddy by this tree' But still she won't come out. Such softly singing lulled me sleep, an hour or two or so I wakeny slow and took a peep and still no lady show. Then suddy on a little twig I thought I see a sight, A tiny little tiny pig, that sing with all its might. 'I thought you were a lady', I giggle - well I may, To my surprise the lady, got up - and flew away." xxx FINALLY I know where this:
"I sat belonely down a tree humbled fat and small. A little lady sing to me I couldn't see at all."
is from. To anyone who has seen their movie "Help!" will remember hearing John say this as him and Ringo are walking to post a letter. I always wondered where it was from, but with John you never know. haha. He was always such a clever lad.
Oh and it's my understanding that when it comes to The Beatles and The Rolling Stones that people either like one or the other. Very rarely do people like both. Don't get me wrong, there's a few Rolling Stones songs I like, but overall I'm a MUCH BIGGER Beatles fan. I'm sure most of you will/do agree with me

I shall be that rare breed that likes both. Because I don't compare them, I just like their music. Are there any Beatles covers that stand out for you guys? I loved Jimi Hendrix's versions of Day Tripper and Sgt Pepper.

John does reference his work in the "Help!" movie. There's another part as well; at the beginning of the film when they've all gone into the house, John picks a book off the bookshelf, which is actually a copy of his second book "A Spaniard In The Works" And if you look when he's dialling the phone in the hole in the floor, he's got a couple more copies of his book on his bed Funnily enough, I watched "Help!" lastnight. I know it's a cliché line but I can't resist quoting it... Look, it's a thingy! A fiendish thingy! xxx

I haven't seen it, since I'm in England Haha I proper quoted AHDN today... I was in a shop with my mum and some friends, and someone asked me if I liked a skirt they were thinking of buying, and I put on my best Liddypool drawl and said "I wouldn't be seen dead in that, it's dead grotty!" xxx

Hahaha I watched "Help!" and "AHDN" again today... I can't get enough! *Dork* I can quote nearly ALL of "AHDN" in sync with the film... I couldn't believe how much I could remember. I think one of the best bits in the whole film is after they leave the carriage on the train after than pompous idiot tells them off... "HEY MISTER, CAN WE HAVE OUR BALL BACK?!" And John's really pervy voice when he goes into the carriage full of girls and goes "bet you can't guess what I was in for!" Easily the best part in "Help!" for me is after Ringo falls down the trap door in the pub... they're trying to get it open again and George grabs the lager and slops it all over the other guy! I think our Georgie is pure genius at times... George: Who's this Susan when she's at home? Man: Only Susan Candy, our resident teenager. George: Oh, you mean that posh bird who gets everything wrong? Man: Excuse me? George: Yeah, the boys frequently sit around the television and watch her for a giggle. Once we wrote all these letters about how gear she is. Man: She's a trendsetter! George: She's a drag. We turn the sound down and say rude things. Man: Get him out... George: Have I said something amiss? xxx

^ I read about that not to long about. I'm excited for it to come out. I just got to level hard on my guitar hero the other day. haha. I wish I could play for real lol.
p.s. my friend and I quote "Help" all the time. haha. Especially when ever one of us falls on the floor we quote Ringo when John asks Ringo what he's doing on the floor and Ringo replies with "I'm tired". haha. I tell ya, I love all the Beatles...but I have an extra soft spot for John & Ringo's humor. Cracks me up!

Haha I just saw a screencap of The Beatles Rock Band thing on Myspace... they've got the boys down pretty well visually, by the looks of it! I REALLY want it! I wish I had the consoles it's for... that's what I get for being old school. I like that part with Ringo on the floor. "Were you messing with me in me kip, like with a fishing rod?" "I wouldn't touch you with a plastic one!" I like the George and Ringo car scene too. Especially when he opens the boot and they just go "hello" "oh, hello!" xxx

HAHAHA Paul's face in the last one I love those pictures. I have the original Beatle Book Monthly that they were published in originally... *dork* One of them's extra funny cos John's drinking some plum juice and the other three are staring at him, so he looks a bit narked Let's see what my Beatles vault unleashes today... Paul: Errrrrrrrm Ringo: Paul's drunk hahahahahah John: *Gasp* Naked girls! George: Heheh it's a thingy xxx
