I miss my Beatles thread! And my BeatleBuddies, especially Dani... how time pulls people apart. We still love you boys! xxx

Hi there decodekol! Have we another Beatlemaniac to induct into our lovely thread? I'm afraid my Beatle-partner-in-crime hasn't been on for quite sometime, so I'm alone in here, and it gets hard to keep up. So The Beatles Thread might not be as lively as you'd hoped, but feel free to come in and chat anytime! I'll check in whenever I can. xxx

Thank you! I'm Shirli. So how did you become a fan then? If you want my story, it's one of the first posts on the first page of the thread. xxx

Yeah I read that . My mom's always listened to them and Led Zeppelin and bands from that era because that's when she was a teenager, and passed them along to me. I've probably been listening to them since I was 5.

Well, we're quite similar then! So you're from California? That must be cool. I couldn't comprehend living somewhere like that, being good old-fashioned, stuck-in-a-rut English. I've been to New York once, and it was crazy. While England has pretty much gone down the pan in modern days, I do like the sleepy lull of its better areas. And the fact that we produced THE BEATLES! xxx

Haha. I've always wanted to go to England, partly because of the music and history. California's...okay, I guess. I'm not very attached to it.

England is pretty rubbish nowadays, social-wise. There are little bits of it that are worth seeing though. Pretty much every American I've ever talked to has an image of England that's just not what it is, so the reality can seem harsh!

That's understandable. People go there expecting to see a picturesque city and not one that;s actually realistic.

Anyway! Enough about England itself and more about a certain four English boys... Fave Beatles album? If you could narrow it down, haha! It took me ages but Please Please Me is my fave. I love all of their work, but I'm a fan of raucous rock, so the earlier stuff is best for me. And John said that PPM is the closest the world could get to hearing The Beatles in Hamburg... and I'd have LOVED to have been there! xxx
