is anybody else hoping for some new home videos/ recording videos to appear soon?`  they really spoiled us with those videos 2 years ago, they should definitly do it again  |

Oh it makes me so happy just to think that they are making the album, they could be recording a song RIGHT NOW! I hope they do the whole home movie thing again, absolutely loved them. They got a good reception from the fans so I shouldnt see why they wouldnt want to do it again.

So exciting  Must be really strange for them recording in New York. Wonder where they go to drink every night, cant be many dive bars in NY. I guess instead of the home movies it'd be more like 'Five go crazy in the Big Smoke' (im including Nacho for titling purposes plus he is after all the unofficial fifth member) |

Any guesses on a release date anyone? Should be out just before the tour in June surely? Ooh, will be so cool to have new Kings songs to listen to, seems like soooo long since the last one came out.

Nate tweeted this earlier today: "Day 1 in the studio is officially under way. I'm beaming with excitement and a hangover at the same time."
I don't think they'll have it ready for release before June, but I would think they'll play one or two new songs already during the summer tour. I'd say to look forward to a release around September.

I wasn't a fan yet back when they were recording OBTN, when they did the home movies did they post a new one every day, is that how it worked? Or were they more sporadic? I'm just wondering if they do it again if we can expect one any day now!

^ they did a random one that was the 'Teaser trailer' at the time they announced the album release date (I think). Then there was one a day all through September until the 22/23 when it came out... So I suppose if they're doing them again they won't be for a while  Fall is actually Autumn for us in the 'top half of the world', not winter, lol Haha I meant instead of spring... Cause it's autumn now and I got mega disappointed when they said fall... I was like "wow that's so close! - oh wait..."  |

I saw on Nathan's twitter that they are using a saxophone on the new album.
Wonder how that will sound.

^ A Saxophone?! I'm not liking the sound of that. I don't want them to sound like 70's era Chicago! (the band, not the city ) The latest I heard was that the new album will have a "darker" sound, but also that there will be a variety, something for everyone. Thank God for that! I like the dark thing, too! That's why I loved Closer so much! |

^ No the "darker" article got it so wrong in the title. Nathan said they meant it to sound darker but it came out as "beachy" and a bit more like YAYM ( ) I personally think it's impossible to tell anything until we actually hear it. Which is why I'll be glued to YouTube the day after Bonaroo  |

I'd be 100% happy if that remix album suffered the same mysterious fate as the Revelry video. And again, while it's totally exciting to be getting all these bits and pieces from twitter and interviews, I think it would be foolish to jump to conclusions... I love 'em dearly, but my God they make for a confusing read |

I'd agree about the remix album. I'm not really interested, I like them as they are without the need for bells and whistles.
