Well, it's a risk.
Since they are putting up their own money for the album means that it is NOT just for money. If the album flops, I am assuming they wont be filling bags with too much. But if it's a success, then I am assuming that the payoff will be bigger at the end.

He also said that Caleb was going to be on Iron Chef in Nov 2009. I dont necessarily believe everything he says.
Besides, those negotiations might not be public.
So whatever.
We'll have to wait and see what actually happens.

nathan seems very sarcastic, i remember someone meeting them somewhere after one of there gigs and he told them their next album was going to be all gospel haha

I agree with you, but I also think that they may already be further than most people think. I mean, in recent interviews they're always saying "we're gonna start writing the songs soon" but in an interview with Music Radar from early last year, Matt said they were already working on new ideas for songs during soundchecks.
He did say that they don't usually create full songs that way, but they did have 7 or 8 ideas (iirc) at that time already. I can imagine that since then, they've had more song ideas, so I think that it may just be a matter of working out these ideas properly anymore before they can actually start the recording.

^ I agree Erin, it sounds like they're quite a way in... Didn't that interview with Jared from Radio1 (?) a couple of weeks ago say they were recording "next week" ie now? Plus, there's Caleb's "pretty country song" that "will make [me] cry" (I want my money back if it doesn't  ) So if they know that much, they must have more than just vague outlines of songs. Then again, I'm sure it takes ages to polish (hopefully not too much ), design the CD, do all the legal stuff etc... If any "magical elves" are reading this  , can we have readable lyrics this time please? |

yeah i know they already had quite a lot of ideas for new songs and stuff, but i'm still waiting for nathan to tweet something like 'back in the studio' but he's like everywhere but in nashville |
