The thing for me is that guitar had a unique sound....imo.
It might not be the same for all fans.
Classic guitars all sound a little different...but I can move on if Caleb can.
I will go with the flow because so far I have loved all their music.
Maybe to Caleb it was just a guitar and there is plenty more where that one came from.
Secretly I think he will miss it...that Gibson had a beautiful tone.

I Read once he always trys out new guitars but always goes back to the gibson, because it just has the kings sound. Wonder how he'll be without it  |

"and now it has a hole in it" ...  hahaa yeah and now it's also broken in two. well done. i'm still pissed about this! i am i can't deny it, trying not to blame caleb entirely, more the situation and the fact it's gone. i really dnt think they can fix it. listening to that music radar interview and he sounds like he loves that guitar! i understand what yr saying jeffica and i definitely would prefer to think even if he was drunk it wasn't just a whim. i hope he did it for a good reason, whether he now understands or remembers that reason to me doesn't matter as much, the intention is what i'm trying to get at. he must be so sad about this! i dnt understand what happened, maybe it's a challenge to push himself to recreate the sound and if the Gibson was still there he would rely on it too much or something? i still dnt really get the point of that, it doesn't seem like the way to cunjur up new ideas or ways of playing or something, he could have looked at other areas but maybe it's about going almost back to basics and through that process developing a broader scope of guitar playing thinking. oh for fucks sake what on earth am i trying to say!  |

Just had a thought...ok maybe a drunken thought...lol. Perhaps Matt can continue on with the classic guitar sound and Caleb can explore new guitar frontiers?.... It could work to their advantage...couldn't it?  ?? |

hahaha! Whiskers, 'nonchalant' and 'you can break it and you can pay for it too' sounds amazing, I'd like to see that! In slow mo. I'm also kind of hoping his expression was 'astounded' swiftly but effortlessly merging into a heady mixture of 'brutal' and 'violent', combined with effortlessly 'sexy' and 'cool', just for the cheap thrill. Sadly I think that would have been too complicated for Nate. Probably it was just 'deer caught in the headlights'. Product recall : It has been brought to my attention that the above post is open to being misconstrued. Reading it again I can see it's true! Limp humour very easily confused with sarcasm or piss taking. I expect the lead content is too high too (not enough emoticons    ). I am confusing I know. It's cos I'm going on holiday and I'm feeling irreverant cos I'm in a good mood and yes, a bit silly. To be clear - Nathan in photos is one of the best things about this band, after the music. He keeps it real cos he doesn't give a fuck (except recently I think maybe he does  ) He has some great expressions, and doesn't care about being cool the whole time. Nathan I love you. hmmmm - did I make amends? hope so. Clear as mud? Sort y'rselves out, I'm on holiday  |
