Posted my review in the Australia tour thread, but then thought there was a fair few of us that went last night and that are going tonight.. so just a place to post your reviews/recordings/pics etc.

so heres my review!

MELBOURNE 13/3

well what can i say.. they just keep getting better!
these boys are just purely talented rock gods!

so i got to the venue at about 12! (i think there were like 6 or 7 girls there when i got there!) i sat on my arse all day eating! was great fun though, at around 4.30 i went snooping around, trying to find out where their gonna be leaving from and all that, wasnt very successful the security didnt let me go looking very far!
but anyway.. 6.00 doors open, i rannnnnnnnnnnn! i got inside and i was like having spazz attacks, and then was like shit keep running your not at the stage yet! so yep got to the second from the front (but by the end of the night i had squeezed my self into the front row) of the stage between caleb and jared!
so i waiteddddd for the stills to play for about an hour and half, everyone was just sitting down , then the stills came on - played for half an hour - they were really really good!
THEN they were like ok 'this is our final song' and everyone was like ofubweobfobfbqwobowboqwubq!!!
when they finished like 50 guys came on stage and started setting up, then i saw this short guy with long hair and i was like 'HOLY F*** ITS NACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!' and yes was just screaming his name!! hes such a cutey!

THEN! LIGHTS OFF! *EVERYONE IN HYSTERICS*
CLOSERRRR!!!!! was a great starting song awww omg i was going off my head!!!
(so guys i dont remember the order of the set list but i remember every song they played, ill tell you at the end! )

the guys were stunning as always, caleb with his new jeans, singlet and vest, jared and his tee with a long sleeved shirt unbuttoned over the top, NATHAN - HOT AS, he is such a babe, in a singlet and matthew, awwwww matthew, do you no how damn beautiful he is in the flesh?? i nearly had a heart attack!
watching him play slow night so long was AMAZING!!! him and his guitar defiantly deserve their own kind of special award!!

alot of the crowd were newbies! you could tell because when they played song like wasted time and taper hardly anyone new what they were on about, but when sex came on BANG! the whole crowd was up in screams! oh well!

i screamed at caleb to play arizona, he kinda just smirked but didnt give me a look! i was like heheh THAT SMIRK WAS FOR MEEEEE! haha!

what else.. oh! caleb said a shout out to all his OLDIE fans! i was like OBEFOUBOFBWQODBOQWBDOBWOUWUU!!!! <yep exactly like that! he didnt talk to much but what what he said was all amazing! i cant remember right now, ill remember later tho

nathan did the whole throw his beer bottle in the air thing! i was like 'AGHHH NO ITS GOING TO HIT HIM IN THE HEAD!!!!! WATCH OUT NATHAN!!!' - of course it didnt!

i have officially lost my voice! like its gone! i was screaming my lungs out all night! it actually hurts to speak! i was just going crazzzyy! they were probably like 'hmm this girl really needs to take a chill pill... lets move over here' haha! aww i dont care i had the best night of my life last night!

oh haha! when the kings finished playing, this guy jumped up on stage and a security guard just pushed him off! hilarious!!! nathan threw his drum sticks - of course on the other side from where i was! a girl threw like her bra at caleb at the end, it like hit him in the head - he was bending over!! its was so funny!! and matthew bowed at us!! jared just waved..

by the end of the night i looked like i just got out of a shower, my hair was soaking of sweat, it was digusting - i dont think i stopped jumping all night!!!

oh! i got a stare from jared! YES LADIES AND GENTS JARED!!!!! i was like hes looking at me - act coool! haha! it was only for like 3 seconds tops but definatly the highlight of the night!

im pretty sure it was the same as adelaide we just had a different order!
i enjoyed the set list! a great range of songs! wished there was more from YAYM but beggers cant be choosers!
i was hoping for arizona, trani and ragoo all night!! but na, never happened! but im not complaining! they had a wide range of songs from the last three albums! i guess they didnt play much from YAYM because of all the nooooooooooobs! ahhh well!

what else guys.. uhmm ok so when it finished i was just like omg omg omg run!!! coz i really wanted to meet them!
so i ran out and i saw these two white vans - so i chatted up a security guard and he eventually told me 'yep this is where theyll be coming out' so i waiteddd and waitedddd!! probably an hour or so! and then the same guard comes up to me and told me the guys left as soon as the show ended! i obviously didnt believe him so i waitedddd! but nope nothing! NO KINGS! they just vanished!
im guessing they were still in the venue waiting waiting the fans to leave, even though there was only like 10-20 of us! or they did actually leave right after the gig! i guess ill never no! we couldnt of really got there autographs anyway.. it was like an under ground car park thing but we could see it from where we were standing, me and my friends were like 'ok, who wants to sacrifice their phone and drop it down there so we can go get it?' i was so tempted but didnt
so tonight im thinking going to the venue at like 10.30 and waiting where i waited last night so if they do leave right away ill be like the only one out there!!! good idea i no! hehe!

sooo comparisons - ok so i dont think any gig will ever be a better gig than BDO 06, i said the about festival hall last year too, that was like , but i dono, last night, they seemed to just be having so much fun! they really loved the crowds, and really made the true fans proud! (i was anyway), they deserve every award they have gotten this year, not just for the new album but they deserve the credit for the albums that didnt get the awards, if next album is grungier like they say, and they loose the noob fans, i dont think it will matter, them live is something that you will never see anywhere! they just are... (insert the most amazing word ever here) and i love them and always will!

all in all! kings are amazing, everyone should get the chance to see them, they are so full of energy, and they love what they do, i hope everyone else who sees them has such an amazing time like i did! enjoy every second of it!! it goes so fast when your in there!

edit: oh there was this guy standing next to me and he was like 'can you seriously be quiet?' and i was just like 'are you f***ing serious???' - that made me just want to scream louder

edit2: i just remembered something caleb said! he's like 'i remember when i first played here in australia (he said australia so cute!) i was wearing a sweater that was about up to here *pointed to his belly button* and it was with a small crowd and now look!' (something along those lines) then im pretty sure he started say something about how he appreciated the old fans and so on!

OMG it was like the greatest show I have ever been to. The sound was just amazing and the guys were on fire (hehe). Caleb was so cute with his shout out to all the fans who were there in the beginning and he also said how thrilled they were to be playing at sound relief tomorrow. I must say the highlight was when Nathan threw to beer bottle over his head is was soo hot I nearly died. I also loved Black Thumbnail and Charmer they were so great live and the OBTN stuff sounds so great live!
They played pretty much the same stuff they have been playing.

Mm that's all I can remember

Anyway I have to say it was a fantastic night except for the fucking tool sitting next to me who just stood there the whole time like a wanka and didn't sing or dance and he actually sat back in his chair at one point (while everyone else was singing along etc) I wanted to slap him. Alot of the crowd seemed to SOF fans and they went wild for that but there were a lot people around me who were totally into it and appeared to know all the songs.
Didn't get any good picks because my camera was crap and I was to far away. Also I saw all the gf's there singing and dancing along and Nacho was so cute at one point the crowd in the mosh called to him and he waved. I didn't hang around to meet them because my friend didn't want to and i couldn't just ditch her although i did think about it My throat was so sore from screaming and singing so loudly and i could barely hear a thing when i left the arena and my feet were killing me but it was defo worth it.
Also just before the encore security had to throw someone of stage it was bloody hilarious.

not any different to yesterday i suppose, we were indoors and when i walked out of the concert i felt like i had jumped into a swimming pool with all my clothes on. ill never ever stand in a moshpit again, except for the kings...

all you people were sitting outside the gates before they opened and i spotted him round the corner from 50 or so metres away.

he went out for a smoke and was wearing slippers.
had a nice little chat.

my review,
un-real.
third time i've seen em 16 years in.
i'd say fest hall was better.
there was absolutely no pushing in the mosh when the kings came on stage which was good.

at one point, i asked this massive stupid dumb tall idiot who was standing in front of me during the show if i could go in front of him, and he said no and i was like, i havent seen you fucking move or sing one word this whole time. pissed me right off.

and when caleb gave that little speech about how alot of the people there came because of the new album and sex on fire nd shit. and when he said, so thanks to everyone whos been with us from the start. and allllllll the sex on fire kids were like. yeaaaah!!!!!!!! truth and fun mahoodzz bro!!! nah bro its not that. its YOUTH and fun manhood. oh yeah bro, sozz cus.

oh well. there was a couple of girls round where i was that are probs members here.
one already saw them in perth and i was talking to her about the setlist. i was wearing like a black singlet and asked whether or not i should sing along to sex on fire.

anyway.
all in all, it was great.

uhm started pretty damn close but got drifted back to like, 6-8th row.
then left as soon as i knew the encores were coming on so i could spend them with a mate up in the stands. felt sorry for him all by himself.
