Right I'm fucking angry now  I know I shouldn't let fools annoy me but some asshole by the username of Smeck on the official site made really nasty comments about the cancellation of the Barcelona gig. She/he made the comment under the news story of the cancellation. He/she is shitting on about how the illness is fake and at the end she even writes get better of your imaginary illness soon. I'd love to know how she/he knows the illness is fake? She/he even said KOL don't deserve to be treated like a big band because of this  Talk about talking shit! Oh and she made a reference to them as Kings of Diappointment! Naturally people were disappointed, and I will be too if they cancel Paris on Friday, but that doesn't give them the right to have a hissy fit and insinuate that the reason the guys cancelled the show was nothing other than what they said it was. To those people talking shit - have you never been sick and unable to go to work/school or whatever? Well fair fucking play to ya being able to avoid sickness 24/7, 365 days of the year. I would love it if you passed on your secret to me. Also, KOL rarely, rarely cancel shows so get down off your selfish high horses and step back and take what happened at face value. Sorry for the rant but it really got my goat up. Oh and boys get well soon I love you Ruth!!!!!!!! Where's the time travel machine to take us back to that pub where that greasy guy started to munch on your face in NY? hahahaha sorry, I couldn't resist. You are so freaking awesome! |

I tried to get tickets to see my first KOL show in 2007 in Minneapolis but it was sold out. Caleb ended up getting sick so they had to postpone the show. They decided to do two shows later instead and I was able to get tickets, so that was my first time seeing the guys. Sometimes good things can come from a postponed show.  |

Man, some people are so mean...I've just been reading the Madrid gig cancelled bit on the official site and people are saying it's a fake illness, they're just trying to upgrade venues and make more money and my personal favourite:

Which for some reason make me giggle like an idiot. The least that person could do is spell check.

Some people are so harsh and unreasonable! I hope when they have let off their steam and calmed down they will look back on their comments and feel stupid. I don't get what's so mysterious about Caleb's/the guys illness? It's most probably food poisoning or any number of other illnesses that come on suddenly. They have done nothing in the past IMO that should deserve this doubt about them telling the truth? I get that people are gutted and a lot have spent money and travelled a long way, and I feel for them, but no doubt the boys are pretty gutted too. Nothing in life is set in stone, that gig - or any gig - was never 100% going to happen because you can't tell what the circumstances are going to be on the night. Things don’t always go according to plan, and there doesn’t always have to be someone to blame – stuff happens, people shouldn’t be so rude about it. I think it’s especially harsh that this concerns somebody’s health and some people are more preoccupied with typing out nasty comments. It’s just plain wrong in my opinion!
Sorry for ranting, it just makes me mad!
