Ahhhh guys come on!!!! People are finally copping on to the fact that KOL are brilliant can this not just be accepted as a starting point and move on!! Many of these people will hear ASH and Y&YM and BOTT and realise what they've been missing!! I'm not sure how much more of this "oh Im so sad that kol havent been recognised before" stuff!!! They are getting what they deserve now so can we not just be happy? ? Fine the Jonas bros are shit, plenty of bands/artists out there now are shit but its a grammy for the kings, I bet they're not sitting in a hotel moping around cause they didnt get a grammy for another album, they are better than all the others nominated I know that and you know that and whoever nominated them knows it so lets just be happy for the boys and cheer em on!!!! woop woop, no better way of saying it! go kings

It's just time for that kind of bitching to stop. This is their moment, and I know I'm happy. Damn, it felt like I was nominated, you know? It was a personal victory because it means that others are taking note of this band. So, I will be watching and rootin' for them 100%.

im not happy that an album that is clearly they're worst in my opinion is getting praised. i really can't help it guys, i love the kings to death but the thought of them at the grammys just makes my skin crawl. i hope they show up piss drunk or something... and i cant "just be happy for the boys" because if THIS is the goal they wanted all along "to bring back good music (i dislike only by the night more than you can understand) to mainstream" then they're not what i thought they were.
whatever thoughhhhhhh i like seeing people happy about this. i would MUCH rather feel happy about it than saddened, but like i said, i cant help how i feel about this.

You must really hate that album. I mean, really... I don't want them there drunk or stupid. I'd loose so much respect for them because then they'd be like most everyone else. It's one of the reasons I can't stand watching the Grammy's in the first place. Damn musicians...

^^^ fair enough...if you genuinely dislike the album, then you don't think it's good music and they've changed too much for you to love them the way you used to....can't help but respect that more than just loving whatever they put out simply because it's KOL.
Makes me glad I did it back to front, really came to love this album, then went and discovered everything else to its fullest...loving each album I heard as much as the last. It's easy to see the journey they've made across the four albums, but you'd usually expect that sort of progression over a much longer time....which kinda makes them even more impressive in my eyes.
Nuff said really, they kick Coldplay's arse out of the field. Everything crossed...when are the awards?

That's really cool Lardydar, I'm glad to hear it. Because of the success of this album many, many more people will get to hear KOL's earlier music, which can only be a good thing as far as I'm concerned. It also gives the band more leverage with their record company and promoters to do whatever they want to do in the future, with less creative interference. It's up to them whether or not they take the opportunity to continue pushing their boundaries, or whether they wuss out and just make more OBTN soundalikes to play it safe. I'm hoping they do the right thing .

shit the bed. great news
but i kinda thought the grammys have a "stigma" to them, you know like in the simpsons its kind of an ongoing joke? hhhhmmmmm *shrugs*
it'd be weird though to have a sticker on OBTN saying "grammy award winning". its good but weird.

Though, let's hope he doesn't actually grow that beard out and wear a dress for the occasion... I like the Simpsons... (Old as I am, but still... )

Nathan in a shirt like that? Oh, I might not be able to contain myself. I think most musicians (not all of course) want to win a Grammy, or at least aspire to. It's like the Oscars, Tonys or Emmys. They are like the most prestigious awards in those fields. I mean, I'd rather get a Grammy than a VMA... I do wonder how long the Simpsons will be on air. Just a random thought.
