well tbh i cant ALWAYS do it, you know like if someone gets in your face about it and thinks that the kings are a new band then sometimes im like "WELL ACTUALLY. . .!" but most of the time it gets me nowhere. . . . . so maybe its just that ive got used to it. i REALLY LOVE the old kings and LOVE the new stuff but everyone thinks differently. so id rather take it on the cheek sometimes. and if your going to get any cheek action id like it from the kings wwhhhaaaaaayyyyy!! (hahaha i dont actually know what i meant by that).

I was just in the tour section saying how great it was that this US tour is going well and I was about to type "I feel like a proud mother" then I thought "nooooooooooooooooooooooo" that'd be so wrong!!!!! |

to add more crap to this argument, i read in more magazine (yes i know its filthy) an article with the sugababes talking about how much they looooved the kings and that sex on fire was just, like, amazing...just another thing that got me fiercely protective/bitter

You're getting into bad porn land there! Since their commercial success has taken such a upturn recently, there's been a plague of people playing SoF on theri phones. For example, last sunday, I'm sitting in school and a girl who is comprehensively annoying all the time, like you want to murder her anyway, starts gushing about how much she loves it, then plays it on her phone, I sat there for a second trying to take it in, then really slowly I look at her "If you want to to keep your face, I would sincerely recommend you turn that off." She just looks confused and I was like "Rebbecca, seriously, Rebecca, TURN.IT.OFF" & my friend was like " I think you should do what she says, she's getting really mad" & She turned if off and looked frightened. Also, another friend of mine was like "I don't understand why you don't like people liking them because of that song" I was just amazed & simply said "you've obviously never been utterly in love with a band before then..." Psychosis is pretty much the only way to explain my actions, I just can't control myself. |

Man i hate this whole Sex on Fire hype.. like every fuckin nightclub i go to plays it, at least twice in a night, along with lots o other scobe (chav) and generic crap.. which is fine right, at least i get to hear my fave band (and i totally love doin the "badah" bit at the end  " but what annoys me is people sayin "OMG this is like the best song ever!!!" no way.. its a good song in fairness but OMG they have at least ten (earlier) songs that are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better!! like musical genius songs, yet theyr known for this crap......... If only theyd play Mollys chambers, holy roller n taper jean (to name a few)... it sucks man. |

i hate at parties all these teenie boppers are like OMG YOUR SEX IS ON FIRE when it plays and like it cant enjoy it and ppl that know im in love with the music look at me and are like....oh ow sam isnt happy haha lol i know what u mean my friends r the same with me, just last night i was out for oh so good halloween and sex on fir was played and the dj stopped it every time it cam to 'ur sex is on fire' and everyone sang it but when it was the rest of the song no one new what the words were just bopping about, and like my friends friend was just humming to the rest of it and he trys to make it seem like he's a big fan gggggrrr pure frustration  and also i was singing all the words and he said the reason he doesn't know the rest is cus he can't understand them, i just said that he 'caleb' sings a lot clearer then he did on the other albums and that he should listen to them and then get back to me on it. sorry for tht just had to vent!! |

Haha this thread is right on point. Basically I miss the old KOL when they were my secret treat and they had a more raw sound, I love the new album but I feel like its so different that its like I love different bands 1) the old KOL 2)the new KOL.....makes me sad....will I ever hear them being their old selves again?
