Alright, so maybe not a full-blown fight or anything like that. But their was a wee bit of a fuss - and I hate missing anything like that... Is everything resolved now?

We probably shouldn't talk about it anymore, just because you never know who's watching...seriously! It's freaky..

Hi everybody, just want to say thanks to Montana and Kolstruck for a really brilliant nite. Was soo fab to get to it!!! I had a nightmare day up til that, forgot my camera and bankcard, thought i was going to be late because the traffic along the quays was crap., anywho.. So here it is.. M83 was alright, i was still waiting on a few of my friends to come in so i actually sat and listened to all of it. It was a bit arty like but the sound was really good. I was drinking Jack Daniels for the nite, as you do. I legged it back to my seat when the intro music came on for KOL. Trying to remember what order things were played in, i'll forget things now and mix everything up but... Closer was great. I was so excited i forgot to try and focus on Matt singing into the guitar. It was when they played Crawl and the base kicked in that it was obvious how mental it was going to be. Yep, Montana will verify how annoying the seating rule was, there was like wardens with torches shooing us into our seats, the guys behind us kept saying, Go'on you stand up and we'll stand up. By the 5th song they realised it was a lost cause trying to keep us in our seats. I got a wee bit tearyeyed for Joe's Head because it reminds me of so many things years ago. Milk, another fav, i rang a few of my mates who were stuck outside trying to buy tickets, they couldn't tell what song it was because they could only here me and Montana roaring, haaha! Trani - was amazing, absolutely fab stuff. thats when i really started to notice the crowd and how ecstatic everyone was. Sex on Fire, the Bucket everyone in the seating area was headbanging and al sorts. We could feel the whole place shaking - it was definitely the best test of the new O2 that i think there will be. Cold Desert the spotlight on Caleb - wow! Mollys Chambers was a real crowd pleaser - i think alot of the Irish fans feel Molly's lives in Ireland somewhere! He was smirkin away behind the mike because everyone were singin like mad things. I spent a huge amount of time drooling at Nathan who is a god obviously with the arms and the hair... The beer over the head!Agh, anywho. As i said the order is all wrong here. Charmer was giggly hysteria up in the seating area the guy behing me was screaming his head off and i seen a girl just randomly fall into the aisle, hilarious! Wishing us Merry Christmas, i was screaming Merry Christmas back to him, awhhh, makes me feel all happy even now. Use somebody - excellent - the drumming, Jared's wee singing part, sigh. The wee speech was grand i thought. The encore was total wowsa. Knocked Up is such a great song and everyone in the place was roaring the back up part, Caleb was delighted! There was big flashy noisy lights behind Nathan that went off every now and then. Thought i was going to faint with the excitement. Black Thumbnail was the real test of the new venue. Everyone jumping and shouting. Excellent concert. I felt like a terrible person leaving the girls outside but the Kings made me realise after about 1 minute that i'd made a good call. Wish everyday was a Kings day. Merry Christmas everybody on here! D.

That was such a nice review Calculatrix - really brought back the excitement of the night You're right, the new Point was well and truly tested out that night, and it survived. I was really impressed with it.

I am still reliving every second of Friday night and the more I think about it the more I realise what a good gig it was. Caleb saying it was the best gig of the tour kinda makes you feel proud, proud that the Irish crowd really know how to rock it!

After the Belfast gig I met a guy with a strong Dub accent as we were leaving the venue. He and his friend and girlfriend had come up to Belfast cos they couldn't get tickets for the Dublin gig. His brother had gone to the Dublin show though, and had texted them to say "Let me know if Caleb says "this is the best night of the tour" - I wanna know if he meant it in Dublin or if he says it every night". He didn't say it though, so they were like, "He must have meant it!" - gutted about missing out in Dublin .

He didn't say it in Glasgow either. In all fairness, I've been to twelve KOL gigs and I have never once witnessed an atmosphere like the one on Friday night. It was incredible - the music and the crowd were awesome and the boys themselves were in flying form.

Jebus that vid of Sex on Fire has just made the hairs on the back of my neck stand! Holy moly - what a night. I remember at one point near the end looking around the place, think it was during SNSL, and the whole arena was bouncing up and down. I don't think there was one person in there who wasn't! I see someone put his speech up on You Tube too Boldness.

wow it sounds like this was an amazing concert! it gives me great hopes because even in a big arena, and even if you're not in the front row, a kings gig is completely enjoyable and fun!
which leads me to my next point- MSG. Which is in NYC which is in the United States. America. You know, the place that keeps getting bad-mouthed by the Kings. <----that's a joke by the way.
But I do mean to say this: my boyfriend went to the Metallica concert the other night and he said that before one of the songs from their older catalog, the lead singer said "How many of you guys were fans from the beginning?" and a bunch of people cheered. And then he said "How many got to know us after "Load"? One of their newer, not-so-popular-with-old-fans album. And a bunch of people cheered.
And then the dude said to the crowd. "Well after this, there are no more old Metallica fans and new Metallica fans. Everyone is part of the same Metallica family. Everyone is just Metallica fans."
And yes, I know it sound cheesy but by saying something like that, the band avoids divisions, like the ones we've seen on this forum lately. Instead, Caleb is dividing the American fans (some of whom have been there as long as the UK/Ireland fans have) from the fans that made them famous from the start.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what you guys did overseas because Caleb is right, without the success KOL had in UK/Ireland, they probably wouldn't have been able to have the career they have now. But some of us were there too, from the start. And it's not fair to generalize a band's success to one continent/area.
I'm sorry, people said they weren't gonna talk about it anymore but the Metallica story really inspired me.....
