It's just unfortunate when you watch the On Call vid that you can never hear Matt's parts.  Which is why it's my least fave video by the boys. |

To me I can hear his guitar pretty well in the On Call vid. Or maybe I’m just hearing what I want to hear?!  Mind you, he does look a bit pissed off in that vid – maybe the sound was a factor? Haha! |

Ok, this is odd. I have all the videos on my iPod apart from On Call, for the reason I mentioned above, but last night I decided to upload it and climbed into bed, pressed "play" and voila! You can hear Matt's solo as clear as anything!
So why is it when you watch the vid on music tv or YouTube you can't....?
Answers on a postcard, please!
Cutting a long story short, it's still my least fave vid by the boys, but at least now when I watch it, it doesn't appear that Matt isn't there at all.

^^ what about it??  I was listening intently to guitar parts on YAYM and I have to say I laughed a little....they are pretty bad compared to what Matts producing now (or even did on ASH). I can kinda see why he cringes a little That said...............I still love YAYM a lot and there are still some great guitar parts ie solo in Mollys, Cali, Wicker chair etc!!! |

My Party.. you can hear it better live but round the end just before it speeds up it sounds so good. I can't really figure out how to explain it. And then when it kicks back into the chorus it makes me wanna dance ! |

i know the later part of 2010 is 2 years from now pretty much, i just became a hardcore fan of theres in the summer after a year of just hearing a couple of their tunes and i want some new tunes already lol

Yeah - I completely understand why he looks back on YAYM and cringes, but nevertheless, it's still great, isn't it! Yesterday I listened to Trani, not having listened to it for a while and the opening bars just struck me afresh - Matt just repeats the same four notes in the first eight bars and it's just beautiful. Like magic. |

I agree with everyone on this page,I can't hear Matt's guitar in On Call on the regular version but when I heard one of the live versions (now i forget what show it was from) i was blown away and actually started to like the song then! If i had been able to hear the guitar before.I would have liked this song from the beginning!
I also agree with Sarah about My Party,Matt's guitar is so kick ass in that song,especially the crazy last minute of it! That's my 3rd favorite KOL song.
I want to add,Matt's guitar solo at the very end of Crawl is underrated...i've only noticed it in live versions,particularly the Rock Werchter one! It took my breath away!
