Not a musician, but isn't one of the guitars the bass, the second one you refer to? it becomes more bass sounding when the vocal kicks in. You can't really see them very well in the vid, it looks like they're all playing something from straight away but i think you can hear all 3 separate sounds. I think the song is awesome, for want of a more descriptive word, they sound so tight and Nathan out does himself once again at around 2:55, makes me go all unnecessary. All on top form. Can't start the day without a listen.  |

The first time all four parts are playing simultaneously (including the bass) is around 38 seconds in. |

Can't quote! But in reply to Couldabeenawonder I hear you. I'm pretty sure i can hear the 'other' one in the live performance though. Perhaps there's a guy behind the stage  Loop pedals would probably piss a few people off i'm guessing. Still a damn fine song. |

I really like it live, the songs a real grower, i cant get it out of my head, every so often i come out with "yoouuure sex is on fiiiiirrrreee" and i get funny looks from people! |

I only hear that bit before the vocals start. From then on it sounds to me like Matt just plays the third part during the verses. Still, it is their first live performance of it - hopefully they'll fill it out somehow. They should bring on a special guest or something, like Eddie Vedder - make the most of it instead of just leaving it blank. I think KoL had a similar problem with True Love Way. For some reason I don't think they played the harmonics in the intro when they did it live. I'm not sure why as they would've had enough guitars! |

I have to admit, i've been thinking tonight, and realised i missed oldKOL! When they were all quirky and my friend wouldn't approve and stuff. I am glad they are getting the success they deserve, and i love the new stuff loads. Just don't want them to lose their originality. But at the same time, i know if i ever want to listen to the old KOL i can just put them on or watch them on you tube!
