The girls on this forum are little tramps  hehe Seriously, you can't deny it. That's why I don't really hang here anymore, I remember almost every thread turned into the women on the forum wanting to fuck the band. It gets annoying you know...its like a man having to hold his girlfriends purse at the mall while she shops or something. Its a strong deterrent and it makes some people not feel welcome...and then some women have the nerve to be offended when someone complains about...yes he called you a whore but what do you expect? |

I don't like Crawl - i love it. Unfortunatly for some people on this forum - i have every right to as well. I'm not forcing myself to like it, i don't do that, i just really enjoy listening to it (as strange as that may seem to some). Some people don't like (nay, hate) Crawl. That's fucking fine with me! You can like or hate whatever music you want. If you want to dis KOL (or any other band i like), go right ahead - but that won't stop me from loving them. When it comes to music - no one else's opinion matters to me aside from mine. But if their's one thing i can't stand it's people who think their taste in music is better then anyone else's. Theirs a few of those people on this forum at them moment who are complaining and preaching about Crawl to everyone else - seeming to think we'll all suddenly turn around and agree with them and admit we were wrong. That will never happen - and the more you and try and make it happen the more you'll be hated for it, because people don't like being preached to like that. My two cents : Crawl is different, exciting, and cool. If KOL had made Y&YM 3 times, or ASH twice, instead of the what they did - then fact is I probably would have lost interest in them by now. If you want the same thing over and over again maybe you'd be better off listening to Oasis. I also think the comparisons to U2 are unfounded - and i don't see it personally (not that a U2 comparison is necessarily a bad thing in my books) . I'm completely agree, I think Crawl it's kind of diferent, but it's still KOL, and that's what counts. Otherhand I'ts hideous reading what people say about KOL, things like " They've changed so much since "Young &..." and Calebs voice sounds like a girlie voice" etc. But don't you understand that if they don't change, experiment.. etc, they won't be able to do more Albums? think people would love nearly the same kind of songs again and again? thnik KOL themselves wouldn't get bored too? One think I know, I won't like them if they did every single song mostly the same as another one. Crawl is different. Yeah, and that's why it makes itself brilliant. Love it. |

Love, love, love Crawl & Use Somebody, think Manhattan's pretty good and really dislike Sex On Fire, but I think 3 out of four's pretty good. I don't like the degree to which they've changed, but all in all, I think it's going well and they're really where they want to be musically.

But I guess it depends what your looking for in their music. Personally, I love the bass and vocals because they work with it in such a different way in contrast to so many other modern rock bands. And that hasn't changed much since their first album.

Yeah 'supergluemerchant' i agree with you. Its stilll all KOL, regardless of how they have altered/tweeked their sound ! As we keep saying - there is no way they could have stayed the same further past 4 albums in 6 years ! Its just not going to happen. At the end of the day - its still KOL whatever they decide to put out. I think you will probably see a change again, when they move onto their 5th album in 8 years?  KOL are KOL, same singer, same guitar, same bass, ... KOL I cant wait for the album.
