this is really a "littlest thing" that i always think about when i listen to knocked up: i love when matthew's guitar comes back in 5:42 and the way it sounds like those very first notes are "struggling"... if anyone knows what i mean, props to ya

I love what Caleb's hand does when he sings "I need to give myself a hand" ... oh and of course the at 2:15 I've watched this video so often because of that.

I love the way he says "dancin' " in Happy alone And i love when they have the word "darling" in a song. I love the line "Why are you so skinny and pretty for a boy?' in Where nobody knows. I love the face of Caleb when he says "Oh, no!" in Charmer

I didn't want to start a new thread, but, per one @doctorfollowill:
"Hanging out with @patrickcarney listening 2 70's funky grooves. Record number 6 is gonna be 1 sexy son of a bitch. Thanks 4 the inspiration."
Forgive me ladies, but I just got a hard-on.

So I was listening to the 930 Club gig at work today. Rememo came one and, out of all the times I've listened to this show, I just today realized that Caleb says "It's POY-SON-AL (instead of PER-SON-AL) but they need to know." Like an old Italian man or Bugs Bunny. How awesome.

Fun little game here. Yesterday I recently started to think that sometimes what makes a KOL song so good (album-wise) is that little extra something like the shutting of the door in "Knocked Up" or the echoing sound of "We hang even into the ocean" on "Ragoo". So how's about listing your top 3 or 5 favorite littlest things from a song. Please tell me I'm not crazy and I'm not the only one who's ever considered this. Here's mine: 3. Caleb's "NO, NO, NO, NAH" around the end of "Genius". Around the 2:16 mark. 2. The wailing on "Knocked Up". I get shivers every time they do that "ooh whoa whoa oh oh." lol 1. Around the 1:26 mark in "Charmer" there's like this little sound the bass makes. At first, I thought it was Caleb saying "ooh!" HaHa. Now show me I'm not the only dork who loves little things the boys do on their songs. I really admire that they record live for the most part because it's always things like that (to me at least) that really make their songs unique. Thanks you for the post.

probably posted it here before but the bass in Trunk and the last 30 seconds of the song i've been listening to loads of BOTT recently as i start to every year more so around this time and into summer, so pretty much that whole album could go here to be honest

anyone else noticed if you hum the start of Birthday you end up turning it into Taper?
not that this is really a littlest thing, but I'm sure they're similar

The little bit of piano at the end of Joe's Head. I listen out for it every time.

^ i always wondered how many from the band sing the final line "our time as we go", it's so pretty, like a man choir i like to imagine it's all of them, but i doubt it, maybe it's just caleb and nathan? really can't tell

it's definitly caleb, you can clearly hear him. i bet nathan sings it too cause there's a deeper voice in the back...maybe jared and matt sing along too, but more quiet? i like your image of all of them singing together (...with a candle in their hands lol, as cheesy as possible!)

LOL i don't imagine the candles (but i probably will from now on lol), but i imagine them all standing up holding their hands like a priest: lmao! nevermind!

i can't believe nobody's posted on here for so long! I can't really talk though, long time since I came on HA, but as they've got a new album out I thought i'd pop back :-)
Little thing I'm loving atm is the way Caleb says "I'd love to pour you some of my lemonade" in Family Tree *faints* I find it so sexy, and I'm hoping it's not just my dirty mind that thinks it's a euphemism ha ha.
Sorry to lower the tone *hangs head in shame* lol
