and in little white wicker chair, always gives me chills: 'send me a postcard if you get that far', it sounds so.. hurt! Exactly. I adore that part!

I've only just realised at 1.43 in Four Kicks Caleb does a little "woo!"

In "cold desert" where there's that little whistling in the beginning When Caleb says Now guitar, go get her and then the solo... The way Caleb's voice scratches in this one part of The Runner

I've only just realised at 1.43 in Four Kicks Caleb does a little "woo!" These kinds of things are what I miss from their older stuff. There's loads in the first two albums and a few on BOTT but there's hardly any of OBTN >_< Dusty is the best for it

I don't know if this'll make much sense to anyone, but listen to a live version of Arizona. And in the solo turn it up and really try and single out just Matt and Jared. It's like they're both dominating and Jared's bass is mirroring what Matt is playing. Basically, it's fucking amazing

In Wicker Chair, around 2.11 when he says your losing your mind followed by a little 'you know' - love that bit
Oh and in Camaro, the way Caleb says cigarettes, I have tried endlessly to replicate it - I think its impossible for us mere humans.

^^ dude... its physically impossible to replicate it! but it is UTTERLY amazing... i regularly skip back to it and listen to it over and over and over again... the som=ng should be called 'cigarettes' instead of 'camaro'!!

This part in Cold Desert - "nobody knows, nobody sees, nobody but me".....I love the fact that Caleb most likely stole borrowed those words from the song Long Black Veil. The first time I heard CD I kept listening to that part over and over, crying the whole time!

Neebot, yes yes! And also the way Caleb's vocal lines stay at that constant "Day old, day old day olddddd..." and the backing vocals creep down the melody, UGH! Magical.

The first time I heard CD I kept listening to that part over and over, crying the whole time! That's my favourite bit too! I always turn the volume up as loud as I can possibly bear when I listen to Cold Desert, it deserves to be played so loud it almost hurts.
