^ off topic i know , but is that ryan donowho in your avatar ? XD i'm in sydney , and they're very much unknown in the "circles i frequent" , which seem to be fairly crappy , poor-taste-type circles . i can name 5 people i know who know (of) them . one is my sister , who doesn't like them much . one is a girl i know who says "so , how about those KINGS OF LEON !" quite loudly whenever anyone cool is around and she's trying to impress them . another is a fan , hurrah ! and two others wouldn't notice if they disappeared of the face of the earth . which is all a bit sad , but also sort of good in that they're not going all arcticmonkeyswolfmotherINYOURFACEPOPULAR on us . haha yeah, it's ryan donowho <3 in brazil doesn't. I know so much people that know them, but the people that really like, i think is not tooooooooo much, i know?

Yeah when i was over in Australia in 2004 i watched The Strokes in Sydney at the horden Pavillion & KOL were supporting em, the crowd seemed to really like em Yeah they are very popular here in the UK, their tours always sell out, can't wait to see em again, just hope it's not the first 2 weeks in October as i'm on holiday hehehe aww you too lucky, the strokes and KOL i only recently got into the kings, and i was at the big day out and i didnt even watch them cause my sister dragged me off to end of fashion or sommthin, but yeah most people at school have no idea bout any music really so i wouldnt judge a bands popularity, based on what teenagers listen to cause its mostly shit off the radio, which is in my opinion generally crap!!! but i know all my brothers friends and that are into them Awwwww what a pain in the arse!!! Yeah they were amazing, it was the first time i had ever seen em to

I'm from Australia and I wouldn't say they are overly popular here. Like people know them, they get pretty good air play on Triple J (guess you could call it the "alternate" radiostation here). And Kings obviously love it because they seem to spend most of their time here!
Oh and by the way, hello. This appears to be my first post..

I live in Canada and I have not yet herd them on the radio or seen them on TV. I did once see a guy with a KoL shirt on though and I almost freaked out. Lots of my friends are fans because I've made them listen to all my cd's. I live on the east coast and had to take the 18 hour drive to Toronto just to see them live because I'm a huge fan.

They are not very popular in Austria (like almost every other rockmusic). Most people over here listen to the pop stuff which is in the charts (like Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams, Paris Hilton, US5...). Those who wanna be different listen to stuff like Korn, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit,...or to mostly german "rock"bands (like Silbermond, Juli,....) There are only few radio stations in Austria, there is one which is the most popular which only plays pop music, some which mix pop music and oldies and regional radio stations which play oldies, Schlager (totally cheesy music with german lyrics) and Volksmusik (i don´t wanna translate it folk music because you can´t compare this to american folk music. It´s the worst and cheesiest music on planet. The average fans of this music are 70 year old grandmothers). Volksmusik is also the only music which you can see at austrian television (usually on Saturday at 20:15) and there are always Volksmusik albums in the charts. Believe me Volksmusik musicians sound the way they look like: It´s really frustrating to live in Austria !!!!
