alright.. back to the subject of the new album:
I haven't listened to the new album yet because I don't want to ruin the release for myself (except for On Call, but they released that one themselves), but I don't see the problem with reverb that a lot of people here seem to have.
Have you ever listened to My Morning Jacket? those guys use drench their songs in reverb (especially the vocals) and it's a great band.
I don't see the problem...

I think the problem is that the worst songs from any album have ended up here. They should have cut Charmer and True Love Way.
For a difficult third album, its pretty good.

The version of the album is the Advance copy, the ones that are sent out to magazines, newspapers etc to review them. These might not be the final versions of the songs for all we know.

I don't see the problem... using pronounced reverb is a slippery slope. It covers up little imperfections and stretches notes but too much of it takes away the raw live human aspect.
