I think on call is pretty good, the solo being its best asset. I think they've used the synths really well and it doesn't sound like 80s cheese. But, i think the verse and chorus can just get repetitive and the lyrics aren't mind blowing like so many of Caleb's are. But i still think it's a good song, just not them at their best. However, having heard some of their other new songs i can't understand why they haven't put either black thumbnail or my party out first, because these two songs are really fantastic, and leave me so excited for Because of the times. But yeh, on call isn't bad, but isn't them at their best - Black thumbnail, my party, Arizona and charmer are.

Gotta agree with the 'cracking America' comment. Song sounds a lot more 'radio friendly'.
KOL have used synth before as well remember - Milk has synth in it.

this is really pissin me off since i heard it.. i just knew from hearing it that it maybe just lacks somethin .. too polished or something? l love the rawness and mayhem of their old stuff! i still like it but i just hope i wont be dissapointed with the album! fuck it though.. bring it on
