I hate clog up the forum, but I didn't think it was really fair for there to be just one album thread when there are lots of people who haven't listened to the leak, and don't want to listen to the album until it's officially released.

I know a lot of people who haven't listened yet don't want to be bombarded with details of the album, but they still want to talk about it.

So feel free to discuss your excitement for the album here!

Well, I haven't (and I WON'T) listen to the leak. I'm gonna wait 'til the 20th (Sweden, damn it!).
I just love the idea of getting the CD in my hands and then sit in my room all alone and just... listen to it. It seems more special.

But I do love to read the comments of the album though, it makes me more excited! But somehow I don't even want to listen to the leak or listen to live-versions... Maybe I know that it will ruin my special moment?

Yeah, i am a dork.

Gonna go the CD route. Hahahha. Wanna open it properly, put it on, inspect the jacket and then just give it a good listen.

Since i dont like OBTN, this has been a LLLLLOOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG way coming for me--since 2007/BOTT. So i cant rush. Besides, I like the anticipation.
But i do read the comments--interesting what people think, even if i have no clearer idea of what the songs and the album as a whole are like.

I am glad to hear that at least, they are not peddling to the OBTN crowd and are moving forward. I dont necessarily need them to "go back to their roots", because I like to see a progression in a band's music, but I also am hoping that it will be radically different from OBTN.

I don't know where my patience is coming from to be honest, especially after logging on earlier and reading the reviews. I think what's keeping me going is the fact that I have a whole day planned for the 18th. I've taken the day off work, I'm gonna see my kids off to school in the morning, go out and buy the CD, sit down with some munchies and smokes, put my headphones on, crank up the volume and chill. Ok, that sounds quite sad and geeky, but I don't care, I'm really looking forward to it!

I think I am going to buy it in a proper record store and fork out a bit, no pre order, no online order and wait a week for shipping, I rarely buy CDs, I can at least do that for KOL. I know I am listening to the End right now, youtube eh ? But its the only one I am going to listen to, amazing is all I'll say.

Deedee, I'm as big a geek as you. I REALLY hope that the shop I ordered it from gets it in on the Friday, that the weather's good for me to go get it that day without freezing my ass off, and then go home, open it (luckily ours are just wrapped in plastic, none of that hard plastic strip to the side here!), put it in, put on my head phones and couch potato it!

Alexis, I think you'll indeed have it the 19th, but with a bit of luck you'll get it sooner.

Really want to hear Pickup Truck and Pony Up. Have to confess I did download the leak but have only listened to two songs that I'd heard live anyway...thats as far as it goes I promise

Also looking forward to the CD in the hand moment, something so nice about reading through the lyrics and looking at all the pics. Hoping for a nice cardboard sleeve and not those crappy plastic cases that none of us can open, hehe.

The album comes out on my first day of holidays (well, exam leave. but no 9am lectures anyway...). That means I have the whole day!
I've been a bit apprehensive, but I'm trying not to read what people have been saying about it, cause you can never understand till you hear it!
But I'm gradually getting quite excited. I know that's terrible, to be on a KoL forum and not be peeing myself with excitement right now, but I'm getting there

Growers are the best, absolutely. All my favourite albums I played the first time and went "umm... what??" and then suddenly you can't stop listening
