I am only realising now that Calebs voice has changed so much since the first album. Not just the way he sings, but the tone of his voice too.

After hearing a snippet of it on the CAS interview and reading the spoiler reviews I REALLY want to hear The End. (must gather some extra strength to stay away from You Tube now!) Also Pickup Truck as that's my favourite out of the live songs I've heard. I totally agree about the growers. I've said before that I didn't like Charmer when I first heard it, it was just a load of noise to me, also (shock horror) Trani. Now though, they are two of my favourite KOL songs ever and always will be. I like reading the spoiler thread too, but I can't help feeling that CAS is being put up against previous albums (especially YAYM ASH and BOTT). I'm not knocking anyone for that, it's only natural, especially if you've been a fan from the early days, but I want to try to listen to this album as if I've never heard a KOL record before and take it for what it is.

Yeah, think it will be really different to anything else, wonder if they'll get a whole load of new, new fans? Would be funny if in a few months everyone was like 'ugh, these Radioactive fans!' Haha. Totally agree about Charmer, I HATED it! Can remember hearing my friend playing it at work and thinking *turn this awful screamy stuff off!* Took awhile for me to listen to the album after that but it snuck up on me eventually

Hahaha Radioactive fans! Well, at least when they go to gigs they'll know more than two songs.

'Radioactive fans' immediately has a negative connotation to it. I can see them being branded with signs on their forehead like this.

Speaking of Radioactive--i m totally not understanding why it's even called that.
Also, WHERE ISN THE WORLD IS THE GOD DAMNED "SADDEST COUNTRY SONG EVER WRITTEN"? WTF? I've been waiting for that bastard for almost 2 years and i m not so sure that it was included!

No, i've heard the song live, so that's fine. I think lots of people have heard it off bootlegs.
I guess it reminds me of Arizona, which i dont consider a country song. And when they were talking about "a sad country son" i was expecting more of a Townes Van Zandt-type of thing, really stripped down. Not like a long pretty ballad about killing someone or something.

to me it was about a girl he really likes who has an abusive boyfriend and caleb beats the hell out of him to try and impress her but i dont think it worked

Yeah, i guess the speculation was--did he kill the bad BF or just knocked out his teeth? But it seems like it all ended badly for everyone.

Can you go discuss this further on the other thread? Not everyone's heard that song either.

oh man, i'm really so close to ask someone to send me a link for that stupid album download! i wanna hear it so freaking bad!! on the other hand, i couldn't imagine a less romantic way to listen to the new album of your all time favourite band. but i have to admit i'm also resisting the download cause i don't wanna get any trouble a few people i know had to pay more than 1000€ cause they illegally downloaded music from the internet. and i'm such a sissy when it comes to doing something illegal

I feel like a virgin waiting for my wedding night!! I'm so glad other people are waiting with me and not giving in to the pressure! It seems like everyone on Twitter has already heard it and it's so hard avoiding their tweets about it! I'm with all of you, I can't wait to bring home the actual cd and seclude myself with the phone off and no internet until I've listened to it a few times!
