Wow Jasmine, this is truly well-written.
I think it's obvious that we're all pretty passionate about this band. I love that we can discuss our feelings on this forum and hopefully come to a better understanding of each other because let's face it, we're more in touch with fellow fans than the actual band. And I love that! I love the friends KOL has given me as much as the music!
NO matter what, I have a feeling this band will overcome whatever internal conflict they have with regards to their massive hits. And then down the line, there might be some more conflict we'll have to wait and see.
For now, I'm happy with what they've given me and I'll follow them eternally!

Sex On Fire is a blessing and a curse for them, they are either going to take the route of releasing tracks that will repeat that success or move forward and continue to do what they've always done, which is care for their reputation as musicians and as a great fucking decent band, that you could do a lot worse than become acquainted with. For Only By The Night, they owed to themselves. For Sex On Fire, to know they could. If everything i truly hold dear and believe in them is true, they only did it to prove a point, that they could do it just as good as anyone else. They've done it now. And yeah, maybe they are raking a little profit from it but that's not really got anything to do with it, has it? I like to think, they're as sick of this whole thing as we are. Get what they can and then get out, move on to what is important to them. They've always set their goals and achieved them, anybody who thinks they didn't play the game from day one is well, they always have. Just now it's more obvious. They get what they want but they mean what they say/sing. The music always comes first and so it fucking should do, they surely realise their potential and if they cop out now it would baffle me! I don't know if any of this has been said before cause i haven't really read much further than the first post, is do a 'Sex on Fire' but with a song, they're proud of. I could ramble on and explain myself a little better perhaps but i think just saying what i just said encapsulates it pretty well. I can imagine them thinking, let's get that attention for a whole *wide arms gesture .. lol* album that we want them to have this kind of reaction to, not something that could have been a b side. not something that is fluke. something that is true but is intended. yeah, i'd like that! true king music. rock on
