I want to cry!! I can't believe MATT did this!! He's the LAST person I would expect would do this! And i just read about Caleb's "fuck you" speech and I just cannot think straight!! I'm so upset right now! What is happening to our boys!?!? Fame. Perfection. I'm surprisingly sad right now.

I guess when you go from extreme highs to extreme lows, that's what happens. It seems that the US crowds have been really good lately, and considering Caleb's impassioned speeches in Vegas and many other places, he's been enjoying the tour here. So perhaps going somewhere where you expect a very good reception, and getting nothing is too much of a shock.
Things probably could've been handled better, but KOL are never to take things lightly. It will blow over. Especially if Leeds is more welcoming.
Matt smashing his guitar is a little strange, but at least it shows that he really cares and that it's not just Caleb who can fly off the handle. I am ALMOST glad to see such passion come out of Matt. Even if it was probably anger related.

At least one of it's last memories was having Matt's mouth all over it, what a better way to end an era ehy? Can I place a request to die like that, have Matt's mouth all over me and then have him bang me to pieces? What a way to go... karma, Lowri! RIP gibby guitar

That's his baby!! He uses it ALL the time now! Doesn't he realize that now he'll never get the same sound again!? Ugh I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight LOL

Shelly, it's ok. I cried when Caleb smashed his, particularly when it was said that it was completely destroyed. So i understand not being able to sleep.
I know, that orange/red guitar is SO Matty. And people said that it was seriously smashed. So they might not be able to repair it.
I think that it all indicates that the endless tour needs to come to an end, as sad as it is for us, and they need to kick back and relax a bit.

Fuck you speech:
"We know you're sick of Kings of Leon. We're f***ing sick of Kings of Leon too. But we get up here every night and I thank God for everything I've had. "So for all those who don't give a f*** about us, I understand. But we've worked hard to be here. We're the god damn Kings of Leon, so f*** you."

sorry to hear the gibson got smashed but...YAY SHERATON IS BACK, huh? i've always been a fan of the epiphone sheraton, the gibson never really did it for me, though it sounded great of corse. and i'm glad a few people feel the same way like me about the kings' attitude atm. did caleb really say 'fuck you' to the reading crowd? i don't like caleb in moments like these. it's not really charming to tell a crowd how shitty they are, and that they're not a rock'n roll crowd if they don't stand up during their shows etc etc. what does he expect? 'sex on fire' is a f*cking pop song atm (not meaning the musical direction called 'POP' but a pop song = popular song, radio song, everyone knows it etc.) so they're people at their shows who normally wouldn't listen to the kings of leon, not even listening to rock music in general. it's just a catchy song and it was their choice so please please please deal with the consequences, cause honestlly you followill guys, your hardcore early/earlier days fans had to struggle with it too...

Poor kings of leon, they're too stressed from all their touring over here & america. They deserve a long brake.

I'm so upset right now! What is happening to our boys!?!? That's exactly what I thought. I would've expected guitar smashing from Caleb, but not Matt. I still haven't decided if I'm upset or angry, and at whom... the crowd or the boys?

Nathan is the glue to that band. He's always seemed so calm and collected. He'll keep them together.

^^ normally I'd agree but his tweet this morn was a bit much!!!! Honest, no doubt, from his point of view, but I imagine it was hurtful to the many people who were there just to see the kings!!!!

Ah that's no big deal - it's not a priceless artifact like Caleb's 325 (which I'm glad he got repaired, btw). I always preferred his Sheraton anyway. Shame the BBC weren't allowed to show the end of the gig - that would've been quite interesting. In truth, there were a few slip-ups in the performance, e.g. the end of the Bucket - not that half the crowd would have noticed. Caleb's gotta learn to just get on with his job because it doesn't help the mood of the crowd when he keeps getting touchy at them. It was better when he just stuck to the occasional "Thank you very much, we're Kings of Leon". Of course, the crowds these days are not what they used to be, but what do you expect when your popularity grows so quickly? I have a feeling their rocket to stardom may soon experience a dip - and it will probably do them good, once all the part-time fans have got bored of Sex on Fire. They are certainly not doing themselves any good by refusing to let part of a headline slot at a major festival be broadcast, when there are thousands of genuine fans who bother to watch them perform, even if they did have a bad night. I think this has been my longest ever post, but lately there have been lots of things going wrong with this band. They need to pull themselves together and stop expecting everything to be perfect. That is true , i agree with Montana, well said
