At least one of it's last memories was having Matt's mouth all over it, what a better way to end an era ehy? Can I place a request to die like that, have Matt's mouth all over me and then have him bang me to pieces? I wouldn't mind dying like that either - On A serious Note- RIP Guitar <3

To Ems, i'll just post what i did in the other thread:
"The crowd covered such a large area that its inevitable the noise they were generating wouldnt sound as loud in all that space/air compared to a smaller crowd in an enclosed arena."
Trust me, ive been to very large open concerts and because of the huge area covered, they never generate an atmosphere as loud as the indoor shows.

i think... in that video of sex on fire that caleb is doing that because the guys(nathan, jared, matt) entered too early on the song. caleb usually plays the intro thing 2 more times i guess.

Trust me, ive been to very large open concerts and because of the huge area covered, they never generate an atmosphere as loud as the indoor shows. So, they were pissed cuz they couldn't hear the crowd? Im assuming thats the reason. As usual, their live music was quality so they cant be pissed at that. I guarantee you that if that very same crowd was in an indoor arena, you would notice the difference instantly. I know from experience the different types of atmospheres you get when its indoor vs outdoor.

Ah that's no big deal - it's not a priceless artifact like Caleb's 325 (which I'm glad he got repaired, btw). I always preferred his Sheraton anyway. Shame the BBC weren't allowed to show the end of the gig - that would've been quite interesting.
In truth, there were a few slip-ups in the performance, e.g. the end of the Bucket - not that half the crowd would have noticed. Caleb's gotta learn to just get on with his job because it doesn't help the mood of the crowd when he keeps getting touchy at them. It was better when he just stuck to the occasional "Thank you very much, we're Kings of Leon".
Of course, the crowds these days are not what they used to be, but what do you expect when your popularity grows so quickly? I have a feeling their rocket to stardom may soon experience a dip - and it will probably do them good, once all the part-time fans have got bored of Sex on Fire. They are certainly not doing themselves any good by refusing to let part of a headline slot at a major festival be broadcast, when there are thousands of genuine fans who bother to watch them perform, even if they did have a bad night.
I think this has been my longest ever post, but lately there have been lots of things going wrong with this band. They need to pull themselves together and stop expecting everything to be perfect.

Karma for you. I was too afraid to post, but you've just summed up exactly what I was thinking. In truth, I love the band, but their attitude nowadays absolutely stinks. Like when Caleb smashed his guitar too... I think they take it far too seriously. Just because they couldn't hear the crowd all that well, and SOF too, nearly everyone goes crazy when they play that, why did it bother him so much tonight? I can't get my head around it. Saying "f*ck you" too, incredibly rude. If he'd have said that in Manchester I would've done my nut. Even if he was upset, he knows people like SOF. Telling a crowd who've gone out of their way to see them play & then telling them to go f*ck themselves is bang out of order. Again, I don't mean to be rude & I love them so much, but something has gone wrong

I reckon its quite apparent that all the guys are needing a well earned extended break away from it all. We all know how hard they have been pushing themselves for perfection, the past 2 years especially. Without a good break to regroup and start afresh, you will end up starting to crack, and thats the stage the boys are seemingly approaching now i believe. Im totally certain things are gonna turn out real good though, Nathan, Caleb, Matthew and Jared will NEVER let such a good thing fall apart!

Again, I don't mean to be rude & I love them so much, but something has gone wrong I agree with the both of you as well! I am new here, but visit the site often and have been a large KOL listener for several years. My boyfriend was at Reading and was texting me all that occured. At the end of the what my boyfriend said made sense. Thousands of people at that festival, and not all the thousands of them paid to see KOL. The band needs to understand not everyone is going to like them at a festival this large, but there are fans in that sea of thousands that couldn't wait to see them (like my boyfriend). I mean, he said they sounded great even though the wind made the sound bad. I know festivals can be hard, especially when people only sing to a song like SOF, then fade out the rest of the show. I think they just have to remember when they turn around and play to an arena specifically to them..that is what matters, the true fans. Who cares about the rest of them!
