Really? I hate it when bands don't talk. The worst thing is when the band members talk to each other onstage. It's okay if it's a decent conversation but when you see amateur bands talking to one another with their private jokes that get no response from the crowd. That's embarassing. I like the talking at KOL. not too much/not too little

so im probably going to cop a lot of shit for saying this but...as much as i love the guys music....i wish they wouldn't talk during gigs. i mean if you are going to say something let it be something interesting/funny/grossly inappropriate. the usual "you are the best crowd ever" crap just doesn't cut it. i cringe a little whenever i hear them say shit like that! they've got the live sound down so incredibly well it wouldn't hurt to work on stage presence...or maybe throw in a cover or something every once in a while. let the shit slinging begin! I sort of get what you mean... Sometimes it just sounds kind of unpersonal. I didn't get that with KoL, but with some other bands I did. Like, loads of times, they get the city wrong... or even the country I was annoyed with the dutch crowd at the KoL gig, though. Caleb was thanking all the people who were at the paradiso gig in 2004, and who were still supporting them. And everyone was cheering. So i was like: Yeaaaaah right, 80 % of you didn't even know KoL before sex on fire, so don't go applauding yourself now

i like pretty much anything that makes a show unique, which is why jack white is my absolute hero because sometimes he just comes out with the weirdest yet funniest stuff in the middle of a song, i love it!

Haha, there's some video (Rock in Rio, I think?) from a few years back where Caleb introduces "Soft" by saying "This next song's about erectile dysfunction. Maybe you've heard of it."
When I saw them a few months ago, at the end of their set, Caleb said something like "Right now, I'd really like to thank my mom for being here...I'm sure there's something on Lifetime she could be watching right now, but she came here to see us instead."

I especially like the first one haha

Frontier City in Oklahoma Caleb "He's picking up bubblegum, he thinks he's got a better gig or something" I can't quite work out what he says about Nate after bubblegum. I think that's right. Makes me laugh

haha wow first post. You have inspired me. I was up the very front at newcastle last sunday (devil song was amazing) and best line had to be when caleb looked down at himself about half way through and goes: "I'm really sorry, didn't mean for my shirt to look like this." He was so sweaty his white shirt had gone pretty much completely see through, needless to say the crowd went wild I was there, going wild And for anyone who wanted to see Caleb with a see-through shirt, this is the best I got of it:

Haha yea, well, when we were within about 5 meters of the barrier we went for it, really lucky we got away with doing it. We waited from about 12:30 and were first in line at door 2, made heaps of friends in the line all day.

yeah i got there at 4, really surprised there weren't more people there. I remember talking to a few girls who said that they were the first there and got to the place about then. You weren't the girl with the semi-professional camera were you?

i remember some quotes from their show in berlin a few weeks ago... right after the first or second song caleb said "maaaan, what a beautiful crowd tonight!" and he said it again a few songs later which made my heart beat a lil faster (y'know as if he was totally lookin at me haha ) before he started with 'revelry' he said 'aah..i know my voice might sound a lil weird because my throad is sore...so please help me singing this next song' then he paused and added 'if you don't sing with me we'll quit playin' and he smiled the cutest smile ever and waved aside as if he did a bad joke..haha, i loved it and i remember freakin out after he said his typical "thank you very much, we're kings of leon!" *SCREEEEEAAAAAM*
