ah gutted! I was so convinced I was going to meet them all at Maida Vale lol! Meeting Nacho that night was enough excitement for me though I think. I probably would've burst if I'd met any of the band too haha Sorry we have gone slightly off thread topic here!

I wanted to wait round after but I don't know if they came out? My friend thought our train home left 30 mins after the end but it was our tube that did so we could have waited I met them at Bournemouth so that made up for it! Yeah we have gone off topic.. errmmm I can't remember the whole speech, it was quite long, but at V Fest at Chelmsford last year, I think it was before On Call but I can't quite remember. Caleb started a toast to the crowd about how happy he was to be onstage and their success etc, and he really did look like he was welling up! Tugged at my heartstrings!

Yea, the 'stand up' thing seems to be a recurring theme... Last friday (in NZ) just before playing taper Caleb looked at those of us in the pit, pointed and was like "these people are standing up" and we all cheered, and then he pointed to the seats and said "but all of y'all..." and i didnt hear the end of the sentence coz we all booed. All the people stood up and he laughed and then i think he said something like "sorry, im a prick" but it was really hard to hear...

haha aww, i feel so bad. i'm not 16 so i had to be in a seated area. and you'd expect everyone to just stand the fuck up anyways, but noooo. i was the only one in my area standing up and i got told to sit down. but i still stood up regardless. caleb also said something just before sex on fire like "so i don't see alot of you standing up tonight, maybe you're just here for this song". and then only like 100 more people stood up and sat down when if was finished. as if you fucking would. i hate brisbane. EDIT: i was just watching some of the videos i took, and after matt did this guitar solo before the encore, caleb said "you want the blues?" he did get much of a reaction, but i was like "yyyyyeeeeesssssssssssssssssssss!"

haha wow first post. You have inspired me. I was up the very front at newcastle last sunday (devil song was amazing) and best line had to be when caleb looked down at himself about half way through and goes: "I'm really sorry, didn't mean for my shirt to look like this." He was so sweaty his white shirt had gone pretty much completely see through, needless to say the crowd went wild

At Glastonbury 2008 caleb said: "Alright everybody, I dont usually talk alot, but seeing as this is such a special occasion i figured i better say a few things. On June 28th in 2003, my band had the honour of playing our first festival, and that festival just happened to be Glastonbury. And we kind of worked our way up to where we are now.. so here's to you guys, thank y'all for letting us do this!" Then he raised he glass, drank away and burst into mollys chambers. Loved it!

I cant exactly remember what Caleb said, but I do know he said something about The Old Fans in Australia and that he would like to thank them or something at the Melbourne show on the 13th I was screaming "THATS MEEEE THATS MEEEEE!"

so im probably going to cop a lot of shit for saying this but...as much as i love the guys music....i wish they wouldn't talk during gigs. i mean if you are going to say something let it be something interesting/funny/grossly inappropriate. the usual "you are the best crowd ever" crap just doesn't cut it. i cringe a little whenever i hear them say shit like that! they've got the live sound down so incredibly well it wouldn't hurt to work on stage presence...or maybe throw in a cover or something every once in a while.
let the shit slinging begin!
