What time are you guys (assuming some people on here are going ga) planning on heading in today? I can't make up my mind. I'm not sure whether because its at Acer and its a Saturday more people will go early or more people will go later...

I HAVE IT IN MY POSSESSION! I'lll post a picture once I figure out how. Crawl Taper Jean Girl My Party King of the Rodeo California Waiting Fans Revelry Milk Red Morning Light 4 Kicks Wasted Time Mollys Chambers Sex on Fire The Bucket Notion On Call Use Somebody Slow Night, So Long Knocked Up Manhattan Charmer Black Thumbnail we were yelling out Trani like I had every other night I had been and I SWEAR I saw caleb ask Jared "What about Trani?" and then Jared just shook his head. They were really good. The portion of the audience I was in was good... but then again I was front and centre of the mosh! Matthew was really happy all night - he was beaming and he stuffed up at one point I think and he was having a chuckle about it. Jared smashed his Bass at the end. My friends said he looked like he was in a grumpy mood... I hadn't noticed because I don't really look at him - it's the other three who have more stage charisma. (He's still great though - just not as entertaining because he keeps to himself). There was no jamming tonight. NACHO IS A LEGEND. I was a waving, yelling whore at him. I feel bad for it. But I think I was one of few who knew who he was and he seemed quite happy to smile and wave at us. Apparently they haven't moved hotels at all - they were staying in the rocks the whole time. One of the security guards told us when we went round the back. Course we missed the Kings. I'd have to say Thursday night was the best night. Sat was fantastic and some of the Kings looked like they were having more fun but the crowd was more into it on Thurs night... except for the new album! In wasted time I was the only person yelling the lyrics around me.. I could actually hear my horrible voice... I wish other people would have droned it out! I got the setlist and Calebs broken pic. I was offered about 3 drumsticks... but I already have 2 and it's a little selfish to ask for more so I didn't take the ones offered to me! What did everyone else think?

I think they're just spreading it around so that less people bother them where they are currently staying.

I'd say last night was the most disappointing of the shows I went to this week. I arrived a bit later because I was going with my Mum. We ended up about 2nd row more or less middle of the stage and the crowd was awful. I think because at the other Sydney shows I was on the barrier I was oblivious to how bad the crowd was. We had this stupid drunk girl behind us who was facing backwards, making a scene, singing all the wrong words and just generally being a dick. Everyone close by seemed to only know the stuff on the new record. And there was also this awful tank of a guy who was making things really unpleasant for all the girls around him by being overly aggressive when no one wanted to steal his spot and he was a good few heads taller than us and could obviously see the stage fine. In the end I dragged my mum back a few rows with me and the crowd was much more enjoyable (still mostly people who knew the new stuff) but we had tonnes more space even though we only moved 4 or 5 people back.
Now that I'm done bitching I'll go right ahead and tell you the highlight of my night which was that I caught one of the drumsticks nathan threw out into the crowd (yes, that's right nathan not on of the roadies). So now I have a pair. Fun.
We hung around for a bit afterwards but apparently the band left straight away which was a shame. We called it quits when their American security guy was leaving and told us same as he had on Thursday night that he wouldn't be going home unless the band had already left. Oh well here's hoping they spend another day or two in Sydney before heading over NZ so we can try and meet them elsewhere.

the crowd was very lame last night. as much as music is the most important part of a concert, the atmosphere and audience plays a major part in the whole experience, and acer arena is a shit venue for them. wayyy too big filled with doucebags, and the sound at acer just gets lost if your on the floor. the sad thing is all their future sydney shows will be there I would guess.

^^ I don't know. I'd say that where they play their next tour will depend entirely upon the next album they make. If it hails back to their older stuff or moves in a different direction (hopefully more like that new blues track) then I imagine the crowd and venue will be very different. Although I'm sure the band are probably enjoying the success this album brought them I hope (in the nicest way possible) that this is their peak in terms of commerical airplay etc and that the crowd will be better next time they're in the country.

I was pleasantly suprised with the crowd at acer last night actually - a majority of people knew lyrics from older songs, especially from ASH. When they came out on stage at the beginning heaps of people in the stands were sitting, and at that point i think the concert could've gone either way, but when Caleb said something like "We've had people at other concerts sitting down...so you guys get off your f*cking arses and let's party!" the crowd cheered and almost everyone was standing from that point. I agree though, that there were one too many dodgey people in the mosh where i was a few rows from front...some seemed to be there for the wrong reasons. I thought the kings were in an unusally good mood last night - especially matt who was grinning and smiling and being lovely. Caleb said Australia had become like home to the guys. No jamming or new tunes, but plenty of quality kings tunes which made my night really special....red morning light As always, the kings blew me away It was a big change from their previously smaller venues over the past few years which i'd been to before, but i'm not overly bothered by the upgrade.

I went to see them on the 18th in Sydney ,my youngest daughter said I had to go. I'm so glad I did. I sang along to every song and at first danced in my seat, cos I was worried about the people behind me giving me shit for standing. Soon as Caleb said to stand I was up. The people in front spent most of their time asleep, no joke. Then when SOF was on they stood up and one of the girls turned around and gestured people to stand up. HUH!!!! But the one guy was still asleep, his stupid head was rolling around. My friend and I were like What the #&*^!!!

He smashed his Bass on Sat night onto the floor. I don't know if it was a hissy fit or if he was trying to be cool... I heard mixed reviews as to why he did it.
Matthew on the other hand was as happy as Larry.. He made me smile so much (mainly because he was and looked like he was having an amazing time).
