Eek sorry I fixed that! Didn't realize it was locked :/ The floor wasn't general admission, it was assigned seating. I think the only general admission show we've had at Agganis was the Killers. Otherwise it does always have chairs. Doesn't stop people from dancing though! Although I have to say, the druuuuunk girl passed out in THE FIRST ROW was seriously not cool.

I just gotta say, that the excuse about the guys needing to be "extra careful" now due to being bigger? Sorry but that really doesn't show any relevance to me. There could've been just as many crazy fans in 2005 as there could be now. Are you referring to my post? I didn't mention anything about crazy fans. I mentioned the sheer bulk of demands now that they're bigger.

Wow, lots of discussion in here! Feel really sorry for the girls! But unfortunately see them wasn't 100% sure! I wanted to be, I was following the waiting of the girls on twitter. After a long wait you should be award for it with just an image from the guys. I can totally understand how the girls are feeling now and respect their opinion on how they are feeling towards the band at this point. Only the time now will settle things down. Experiences are always different and the outcome sometimes are positive and sometimes not. Let's see what happen next. HUGS to the girls! TKS FOR SHARING IT!

Having read Jen's and Cassie's posts I have to say I somewhat agree. I know they are not obliged to come out and meet fans but now that they have become bigger it seems that they have stopped it altogether, which is a little sad. I know for a fact massive bands like the Rolling Stones and U2 do come out to fans after gigs. Not all the time but some of the time. As Jen said, she wasn't expecting the guys to come out and make conversation or even sign autographs but it would have been nice to get some form of interaction, no matter how small. Jen and Cas and many more have spent a fortune this year and in the past on going to KOL gigs and a little wave wouldn't hurt. Having spent a fortune myself on flying to New York and Paris I was disappointed not to have seen them come out afterwards considering the length of time we all waited outside. In NYC it was particularly nasty because we waited for hours in horrifyingly cold weather. In just under a month I, along with Claire and Dave, are off again to Arizona, that's a 16 hour flight from Dublin all for a KOL gig, and it would be nice for the guys to simply walk past us on their way from the venue. It would be nice for all the people from on here, who are flying from all over the US, the UK and Ireland and God knows where else for the shows in Mesa and San Fran and in other cities. As I said, they don't have to do it but what's five minutes out of their lives for the people who have made them the band that they are today, we buy their albums, their merch, their DVDs, their gig tickets etc after all. This new trend won't and will never stop me adoring their music but it does make me a wee bit sad

It would be nice, but it's a case of managing your own expectations I think. I know I'm in the minority here, but I feel if you don't expect them to come out and talk/wave/sign autographs you won't be disappointed. That's how it works for me anyway, and god knows I've taken many a flight to see 'em! I fly all that way to see them PLAY, not to see them wave.
It may only take them five minutes, but what about all those other five minutes that they're constantly being asked for day after day, night after night?

I totally know what you mean and the gigs totally out weigh anything else but it is a little frustrating when you hang about for hours after a gig for nothing. Thankfully I got to meet them twice, one time after a gig, so I'm happy with my lot However, I do understand where people are coming from also.

This new trend won't and will never stop me adoring their music but it does make me a wee bit sad Thanks Ruth! i think you were able to express it a lot more eloqunetly than I. I also think a part of the reason I wanted to vent a little bit on here is because maybe, just maybe, certain things getting said on here somehow reaches the boys ears you know? Keeping silent over the fact, that in my opinion, their actions were wrong isnt serving a purpose, but maybe if they read how devistated some fans were, they will occassionally come out. A lot of ppl are saying well think about the many times they did com out in the past, and i understand and appreciate that, my concern is that this complete avoidence of fans will become the norm (which it seems like since MSG) which is just wrong, like ruth said other bigger bands make time for their fans, certainly not everytime or often, but occassioaly. I'm not asking that KOL come walk to their fans and have a half hour convo or even bother to sign or take a pic with everyone, but just a small wave and "thanks for coming!" yelled quickly while hustling it to their bus would MORE THAN suffice. I will always love KOL and the music they created, anyone who has ever talked to me knows that their music was a BIG influence on me when I was at my lowest last year, i will even be so cheesy as to say that KOL was a big part of my recovery and turn around. I love these boys but sometimes honesty is better than keeping quiet. also hi Katie it was a pleasure meeting you last night!!!!!

I think Ruth is right, it's ultimately about the music (yes even for me, the biggest caleb perv) but some aknowledgment from the boys for the money spent on gigs, merch, ect... would be nice. I don't want to sound rude towards the boys but they wouldn't have those nice houses they showed us on RS if it wasn't for us. I just hope they aren't forgetting that!
They are the only thing getting me through this dreary MONDAY though!!!!!!!!!!

But I really don't think we're at that stage yet. Ok, the band didn't come out to talk to fans on the Aussie/Kiwi tour, but fans got to meet them on the UK/Ireland tour in December and on the US tour in Jan/Feb. That's only a couple months ago, so I don't think we have cause to worry just yet.

I think Jay is right. They came out to fans after the Glasgow show in December and that's not so long ago so hopefully it will happen again.
