stay out? lol. Pretty much the entire first photo is considered "downtown" by people here in Indy. The Murat Theater is downtown, for sure. The 1/2 mile I mention from the gig to "dowtown" is to the center of the downtown area. There are some large parkign areas, more places to eat, movie theaters, nice shopping, hotels, etc. right at the center. More so than near the Murat anyway.

aww wish I was going! Indy is only a 2hour drive for me. But I'm going to the Louisville show tonight, and just can't take off work early tomorrow to head that direction I'm sure it'll be a great show! Have fun!

First one home apparently??

EFFING Fantastic Show. I'm a little bummed I forgot my little note card and little pen that I was going to use to jot down the set list but I'm sure we can get that sorted out.

It's still all a blur, but I'll share a few thoughts.....


FOUR song Encore??? With an epic version of Knocked Up to start it off? Caleb would not continue until he got a nice sing-along with the crowd going on the "oh oh oh oh oh-uh-oh" Walked to the front of the stage tempting us to get louder and lounder, and we did. It's still sticking in my head.

The other three were Manhattan, Charmer, and then a blistering versions of Black Thumbnail to seal it.


Prior to that we go TRANI!!! I was a bit surprised as they have not been playing it every gig lately. Fantastic!!!!

Opened with Closer and then Crawl. Sexon on Fire came somewhere in the middle. Revelry was early and better than expected.

On Call was great, which was nice as it has not been on of my favorites. My Party kicks ass live, Jared especially grooving on this one. McFearless was later in the show, as was Fans.

Wasted Time was GREAT to hear, it came early. Already mentioned Four Kicks.... I was SHOCKED how they attacked that song, and it being in my all time top five KOL songs, I knew they could crush Four Kicks, but they somehow surpassed it!

Molly's Chambers was a stomping good time indeed. I'm missing so much, and will have to come back tomorrow evening and post more!

Four Kicks was INCREDIBLE. It has always been one of my favorites, and the boys freaking stomped through it like a freight train off the tracks. One of the highlights of the night for me.

As I type this, I'm going off my rocker apparently, as I'm having trouble piecing the gig together. I'll just list some more tracks and I'll need help with the order.


Ears ringing, eyes tired..... son fell asleep on the way home and stumbled into bed in his new KOL shirt. He was probably the youngest fan there, which I got a HUGE kick out of. He got his share of looks and nods of appreciation from the crowd, which was pretty cool. Ushers and those pouring the drinks kept calling him "little man." I thought it was great, he was ho-hum about it. We were recognizeable anyway. No need to check our tickets each time we went in and out before the show, during the set from The Whigs, etc. "Oh, yeah... here comes that youngster again... he already knows where his seats are, no need to check his ticket!!!"
