Agreed. I felt bad for them on tour, they really got a bad response: a bad response for a bad choice, not a bad band. Though it wasn't just that they're too mellow live, their whole live set-up is just meh. Facing each other instead of the audience & not using most of the stage etc doesn't exactly enhance their performance. I liked them the first night of the tour (Brighton) cos I had been looking forward to hearing Saturdays=Youth live and thought it sounded good. The female vocalist/keyboardist rocked too. But I didn't watch them at any of the other dates. Completely agree, they didnt even bother trying to get the crowd going I saw them at Glasgow, Dub and Wembley and it was the same deal each time. I did feel bad for them esp at Wembley cause people were chanting at them to get off, I dont think anyone who has the balls to play on stage deserves that. I agree with Montana completely wrong choice for KOL opener!! I was hoping The Virgins would support them in MSG....oh well *runs to see if Virgins are doing any live shows while Im there* Edit: Balls, they're not playing NYC til Valentines day!! Oh well..............next time

If I listened to them in my room at home whilst being chilled, that's fine. But when you're pumped up waiting for the Kings to come on after travelling across the UK and then queuing for hours in the cold to get to the front, you want to have a band who can entertain you for 45 minutes. Those guys just didn't. And I had to stand through their set 5 times. I've seen them live now more times than some of my favourite bands!
I'd be on cloud 9 if BRMC supported. Its not going to happen though. It will be another electronic dark band that don't connect with the audience, I'm sure.

It makes me sooo sad to read all the hating on M83, seriously. At least the Kings did something unexpected, and honestly I hope they do the same with the European tour. If they come up with WAS or another band like this, I'll be disapointed. I love WAS don't get me wrong, they're very nice guys, very funny, but musically it's not the best band around. I want Animal Collective (yeah I know it will never happen), or at least BRMC !

That's cool that the Pumpkins play so long. I saw Ryan Adams & The Cardinals recently and they played 2.5 hours, no support. You can check out The Whigs on myspace - www.myspace.com/thewhigsBecs, I haven't heard anything about their support band on the European dates in Feb. It won't be M83 cos they're supporting The Killers that month. Your having a laugh!!! im going to see the Killers in March, i wanna get to the front but not sure i can stand through another set of M83!! But i think they would fit better at a killers concert as their musics a bit more electronic/popy so you never know they might go down better

I don't know if they're supporting The Killers here, but they definitely are in America. I love M83, I just think I would preferred to have seen them at their own gig or something

Then Louis XIV is supporting them on the European tour. (so in theory M83 are free to tour again with KOL) (no drama please, I said in theory )
