...I'm rediscovering this song...think it's hugely underrated....
Anyway, biggest thing to hit me this time round is how, after the solo and the drum intro to the last section, it kinda takes on a really boppy almost ska-ish vibe...even driving I can't stop myself from boogyin.
Anyone else re-feeling the love?

I go through phases with this song, sometimes i absolutely love it and other times i give it a miss, but hearing it live is amazing. I love the whole kind of dance vibe to it, just goes to show the kings can put their talents to any form of music

I love it, gets me ready for a night out or when I'm out. I love the "ooooooh"'s, and the guitar is so good!

That's the greatest!

i love this fcking song!! it's so goddamn sexy and amazing and i love the whole moby dick bit. it definately deserves its own thread i noticed with the way i was dancing at the gig that there is so much boogying, like you said kinda ska, hip hop. it's skippity and you don't wanna fall down the big holes. don't fall down the big holes. no no no. sxesadie i'm getting over bott, i'm moving into my obtn phase do you think they appreciate they should give their fans a chance to love their albums before they release the next one? especially obtn, it needs time to grow. it's a little seedling to me at the minute, i have to feed it with baby bio

^^^ oh whiskers yeah, agree completely...OBTN grows and grows and grows....it's luscious, epic, anthemic, soaring, cathartic, regretful, joyful, delicious, sexy, and just downright grown-up. Totally different but no worse off for it.

I LOVE MY PARTY!! I totally agree, underrated, and amazing!! Jared's bass is the BEST in this song..and the other guys are awesome as well. This is in my top 3 of all KOL songs, probably #2. I have the regular version and the live version on my ipod to double my chances of hearing it often

Totally different but no worse off for it. you totally deserve some karma for that post. that's the most positive and truthful review i've read about that album on this board. i'm yet to appreciate it as much as you but bott took a while and so will obtn i've no doubt. it's the kinda album that gets into yr subconscious, it pulls you in with particular tracks like Revelry and Be SOmebody (as well as sof and use somebody, the latter i am loving more and more, the former i can't help but love) and the rest will slot nicely into place and once it has i will be a lover of this album. i'm sure of it. consider yrself exalted x

I've always like BOTT but just last month I listened to it again and was blown away by just how good it was. For a minute I even ranked it over Aha Shake (it was just for a day though lol). I think OBTN is ok but outside of about 4 or 5 songs I still can't listen to it all the way through... maybe someday

Everywhere I look it says that it's "she SAW my party" I'm in a BOTT phase right now, so I looooove this song! And I agree about OBTN, at first you just think it's generic, overly-produced, whatever, but if you really listen to it and TRY to actually HEAR it, you realize that it is downright beautiful. Anthemic doesn't necessarily mean radio-friendly; in th case of OBTN, anthemic just means soaring!!

I used to think it was saw too, but it's at, the album booklet says it most these lyrics sites give you really silly lyrics when it comes to KOL aha

^^ that makes more sense, but all the lyric sites say 'she saw my party'
but i believe you guys more, because the lyric sites ALWAYS get KOL songs wrong.
