^^^ oh whiskers yeah, agree completely...OBTN grows and grows and grows....it's luscious, epic, anthemic, soaring, cathartic, regretful, joyful, delicious, sexy, and just downright grown-up. Totally different but no worse off for it. you totally deserve some karma for that post. that's the most positive and truthful review i've read about that album on this board. i'm yet to appreciate it as much as you but bott took a while and so will obtn i've no doubt. it's the kinda album that gets into yr subconscious, it pulls you in with particular tracks like Revelry and Be SOmebody (as well as sof and use somebody, the latter i am loving more and more, the former i can't help but love) and the rest will slot nicely into place and once it has i will be a lover of this album. i'm sure of it. consider yrself exalted x Cheers love...I think the home movies have helped with the lil commentaries they give about certain songs, does draw you in...the journey they've taken you'd normally expect bands to take a helluva lot longer to make, so it's not really surprising that some fans of the earlier stuff aren't really feeling it... everyone's got their own tastes, but it does make me sad that it's been slighted so much....here's to it bein a big-time grower eh?? x |
