^^OMG that sounds like the PERFECT trip - i sooooo hope you get to do it Even if I have to sell my parents, I will do it! It's weird for me, because I have such a strong emotional connection to music in general, but KOL especially, that when I saw them in Brighton in December (which was actually one of the best gigs they've ever done), I got so overwhelmed, half the time I was sobbing in to my beer-soaked hair, and the rest I was going hoarse from trying to copy Caleb exactly. Ever since then, I've avoided listening to stuff they played (especially the slow stuff), purely because I go to either end of the spectrum of emotions. I don't really want to start crying on the school bus, do I? But...after reading this thread, I forced myself to listen to Arizona...and as usual, the memories of Brighton came flooding back, and I started sobbing. It's just such an incredible song, everything about it just...flows. It's 4 minutes 50 of pure perfection, and one of the best songs the Kings have ever written. I'm trying to wean myself back on to their other slow songs, especially Knocked Up, which I haven't been able to listen to since December 1st I really don't know how to describe the feelings I have it...I can't even bear to get the tune in my head...

Thats so cool that their music makes you feel that way I understand completely - even the first note in Arizona can get me going!!! But at the end of the day, the musics there to be listened to and enjoyed - and its very rare in life to find something that can touch you so deeply emotionally so i say make the most of it!!

Thanks, I realise I sound like a complete drip It's just plain fact that the Kings can either bring you to your knees or make you want to dance like your legs are going to be amputated the next day.

Awww sweetie, I totally understand. I always get choked up at gigs but it's usually afterwards that I start bawling. When I went to see the Kings in December I cried all the way home! It's what my sister and I have termed "the post-gig blues"! You just love every second of them being on stage and it goes so quickly and you never want it to end and then it does and it's the worst feeling. (for me anyway) Whoooop for Arizona btw!

^^ and that is why Ive been galavanting all over the world to kings shows In a way I envy you, because of course, the Kings are amazing live...but then a part of me is kind of hesitant to see them again, just because it was so perfect for that one night, I don't want to see them and be disappointed...though I'm sure I wouldn't be... I'm a bit silly really

Ive never been disappointed by any of their shows!!

Ive never been disappointed by any of their shows!! Me too. Each one is special in a completely different way. However, I do get post gig blues too much and this is why I accompany Schucs on her galavanting round the world trips. The blues after the Paris show were awful, so awful that I had to book Arizona and San Fran a few weeks later to cheer myself up even though I can't afford it

Does anyone else love the sweeping synth-ey (I assume its synth?) bits in the background??! It gets me right there!! *holds hand to heart* This song drives me utterly insane (in a good way of course)
