Yep, a couple years is good. Give us wanting more. And besides, I don't want them burning themselves out. them burning out would be the death of me. i don't think they would actually completely burn out, because music is in their bones, but i don't want them to wait five years before they do another record. i don't want to burn myself out either; you may say that new material will prevent me from burning out but i'd like to let obtn sink deep in like the others. they've spoiled us fans with so much material so damn quickly and i realize this so i wouldn't mind waiting a little longer this time. i was thinking earlier that after four albums, they'll relax and chill even more and not realease anything new until 2010, but hopefully early/mid summer. i'm so excited that i'll be out of school by then and will be able to go to a concert on a weekday and not worry about missing class. yay freedom!

If they're gonna g back to ASH/YAYM kinda music then I think it cant come fast enough! There is a bit more time to ride OBTN out first but i cant turn down the oppertunity for more material...Id have it constantly fed to me if i could!

now i'm really curious as to which direction their gonna go in now.
I'm assuming it won't be far from the style of OBTN just because Caleb has found his voice now and wants to use it..

That doesn't necessarily mean the music will be the same. Every album they release has a different sound to the one before so anything could happen..

I don't want them reverting back to some old style just to suit people, nor do I want them going to some mainstream style to suit people. I just want something mind-boggling awesome. I'm still waiting for their "masterpiece". I don't mind waiting at all. It just better be worth the wait.

What I like about OBTN is the vastness of the sound. It's all very "big" sounding. That, I do hope they continue to invest in. I'm still waiting for that Nathan lead song, and that Prince collaboration.

i struck up a conversation with a bartender tonight on how she thought before this record kol were a 'one trick pony' to which i disagreed with more than agreed, but to each his own. i told her i like obtn but it was definitely not my fave.
i cannot imagine the insanity that will ensue on this forum and throughout other outlets when the next album comes out.
i am not a person who deals with change well so i have a massive fear of kol stopping music soon and it terrifies me. i just need to tell myself 'deal, it's life'
ps. my art history teacher \said 'double-edged sword' today and i immediately thought of nathan.

holy crap, that (along with tons of jared pictures) just made my day. i'm actually getting excited about the next one, i think it'll be just what their major fans want and need. karma for finding that savanna! these guys are songwriting fiends. it really shows how naturally it comes to them and how much they love it. kol=born to rock. ps. quick question: why can you sometimes karma and sometimes not?

I am beyond excited for the time when a new album will come. I trust the boys to deliver something amazing!! And can't explain how happy I am to hear Nathan say it will be more upbeat. Oh and when you give a karma, the board makes you wait a while before you can give another. Guess they don't want us just dishing em out left and right cause we'd all probably have a million by now

^^^ yes, i....am....your....twin. just got a darth vader vibe there, weird. yay for some not so depressing songs, however i am looking forward to when my classes are over and i can enjoy this album how it was meant to be, alone with a bottle or more of wine (caleb mentioned in an interview that wine should accompany this album, or soomething like that, i should start saving all interviews)

A bottle of wine + nighttime + OBTN = perfection. it could probably become a little overwhelming if you're not careful though. yeah I have a huge list of interviews saved in my favorites on my computer
