Really? I'm hoping it's either that, or the fact Caleb didn't seem too well that they didn't play Trani and Arizona. It's just weird for them so leave them out after playing them in the first couple of shows

was watching the shots you got on your camera all nite, you got some great shots, your camera looked well good, your pics are alot better than mine, i will give you the link for the video when i get it uploaded this week , my gf got most of the gig on her n95, and its really good footage and sound.
glad you enjoyed the show, you should have chatted to me and my gf, we were right at the side of you all nite !! We (me and gf) both said afterwards we thought you were alone, and was going to ask you if you were on your own, think my gf had her camera abouve your head all nite LOL !!

BUT I LOVED EVERY FRICKING MOMENT! i was secound from the front and thought i was gunna die at one point. but i got a smile off nate! and matt and nacho! got some ace pics. wonderful night great set, they did miss out some good uns but ho hum! and im more in love with caleb then ever! well done boys, i salute you! Hey rebeldimond, just been looking at all your pics from sheffield, and you have got some belters, some realy good ones, like the ones of the boys you have got with expressions on there faces, caleb - you have got a few great ones of him, and jared in the background faded into the black looks great. on that site you have put them, me and gf have just been watching them as a SLIDE, its quite good the flickr site your using, think i willbe leaving that scrolling for a while !! cheers again for the pics !! |

hey velvet 10, by the looks of your picture above, you were stood right at the side of me. were u with your boyfriend on the rail to the left of matthew? or are you the one with blond hair at the front who was by herself? i enjoyed the gig, but i still think it wasnt as good as i thought it was going to be, and was only gutted cos they didnt play Trani, and i thought the atmosphere cud have been better ! I thought the stage was too small, and there was too much crap lying about! i enjoyed it, but thought the sound wasnt brilliant either, i was expecting to come out with my ears buzzing, but they wernt really? maybe i had built the whole thing up too much, ive been a fan of kol from the start, bt the setlist was obvious, and the intros are alwsy the same, i knew what was coming all the way thru the event, which kinda did my head in a bit, like the intro to 4kiks and crawl, its always the same, just wish they copped it up a bit more, for the older fans of kol, it seemed like there was ALOT of new kol fans, more new compared to older YYMH fans etc !! Great pic of caleb. My gf has 90% of the gig on video, will edit it and process it this week and get it uploaded somewhere and give out the link this week so keep your eyes open for it ! its quite good footage !! watched it all when i got home last nite !! respect everyone. hi kolyorkshire, sorry for late response been out over the weekend! no, neither of them was me, i didn't get that close unfortunately and i wish my photos were as good as rebeldiamond's! i so wish i had a load of performances to compare sheffield's to - i'm gonna do my best to see them from now on as much as possible though! i first heard on call and saw the video which really made me notice and i had been looking out for them on tv since then but only really got obssessed this summer pre OBTN. tbh although i was late to find them i feel as gutted as some other long term fans that the secret's out  and would love to have followed them since the early days! although i don't begrudge them well deserved recognition and success their sound is so different and exciting and the whole deal is so attractive !! I was stood waiting for about 20 mins after the gig but apparently they were at an after party and were going to be a while... so i left, the people i was stood next too werent too nice..hope them gits didnt get to meet them  |

I think i may have directed one of the earlier photo things to you instead of rebeldimond, sorry i confused a bit, but neva mind, thats me !! lol Any way, glad t hear what you said about sheffield arean, i agree with what you said about the stage etc and them (KOL) wanting it on their own terms. I got into them about 2 years after they started, but thats the first time ive been to see them. Really enjoyed it, but i think i built it up too much, like you i had mega pre build up to OBTN, i was on here none stop and the official KOL site, wow talk about eager for the new album, the OBTN came out. I loved BOTT, was diff from the first to albums, but i still loved BOTT. OBTN isnt my favorite, so im hopin for a belter next time, more like charmer and mcfearless sort of thing !! I went to both the Notts and Sheffield gigs... and i thought, although both were awesome, the Notts gig just shaded it. The arrangement of the set list was a bit better and obviously longer. Trani and Arizona are two of my fave songs, so i was gutted that they didn't play them at Sheffield. Just a note on the venues; i think Sheffield Arena is a pretty crap venue, tbh. It's in the middle of nowhere and consequently all the pubs are heaving and it takes ages to get served. Also, i don't think sheffield arena is very efficient in terms of queues, toilets and entrance. Notts arena seemed to flow that much easier and you didn't have to get a ticket to walk back up to go to the toilet, like Sheffield arena. Very annoying. Also, sheffield is a townie shit hole and all the pubs were full of chavvy townies. But all in all... two great gigs (KOL don't do anything else, do they?! ). Looking forward to Paris now. |

I live about 15 miles from Sheffield Arena, 30 miles from Nottingham and 60 miles from Manchester.
If I can only go to one (as was the case this tour) I would always choose Nottingham or Manchester over Sheffield.
Went to Nottingham this time, looks like I made the right choice.

yeah sparkler, thats me aswell ... neva been to Sheff arena b4, i did ask afew peeps on here an ther places, and everyone said it was ok, they had some good nights there, but for me ...
it was crap, and it did spoil my experience abit aswell !
The arena just didnt feel right, the stage is too small (I would of hated been seated right at the back of the arena ! wow whats the point !!) the sound was shit, i was really let down by the sound quality !!
I dont know, whats manchester like in comparison?
cos i defO wont be going back to Sheffield Arena again ! Nooop ! Im smack between both places so can easy travel to both, !!

I think Sheffield is the biggest of the three, so if you're at the back you can barely see the stage, and the acoustics always seem poor.
Nottingham and Manchester are slightly smaller, the atmosphere always seems better, if you're in the seated area the layout is better and you get a better view.
That's been my experience anyway.
I wish I could have gone to all three (in the past I would have done) but I've had to seriously cut back on spending this year.
I'm really glad though that I've seen KOL a few times at smaller, more intimate venues, don't think that will happen any more.
