This is where those of us miss out on tickets (due to scalpers, slower internet, people who buy 50 tickets, etc) can just shed a tear and think of new bands to idolise.
I'd personally like to extend my warm 'fuck you's to novafm, in regards to the Australian tour.
I also looked on ebay and found many many kol tickets for disgusting prices.
In case you haven't noticed, i didn't get tickets.
discuss.

Yeahh sonia i feel your pain I just commented your facebook rant aswell lol. I fucking hate scalpers, its just so unfair. I wish their was a way to stop it happening. I mean 9 times out of 10 the price they sell them at.. no real fan can afford. So as usual all the people that deserve to get tickets dont get them.

They sell out so quick, and as sonia says, go to ebay and there they are for like 6 times the bloody price. Its times like this i hate that they've gotten bigger. This is really the only time it affects me, when i want to be right there, as close as i can be.. a real fan, and i cant get tickets. It is unfair and sonia i feel really sorry for you But lets all pray they might add another date! Keep an eye out in case!

The KOL management should do something similar to the Pearl Jam gigs: the REAL FANS should get the possibility to get their hands on tickets before the rest of the world does!

All it takes is a fan club presale. Pretty standard stuff. I think the band will get it next go around. Do they do this in the UK?

OK OK I sent a message to Nova last night taking the shit out of them for giving away so many tickets to people who aren't even real fans, while kids who know every lyric and actually just kind of go to school and aren't able to sit around listening to their crappy radio station waiting for a KOL givaway, don't get a ticket.
In my first message i just had a bitch about how melbourne sold out so quick yada yada nova suck, AND this "Tash" character replied saying that i'll have another chance seeing as Sydney now has a 3rd show. Well thank you very much, i'll just fly to Sydney then. PAY ATTENTION TASH!
My 2nd message: "i'm not interested in Sydney, but thanks anyway. But on that note, is the giving away tickets a commercial thing? is it to make Nova popular? because people who were happy to just get in line and outright pay for those tickets have missed out."
Tash replied: "Thats ok Sonia. Nova supports Kings of Leon coming to Melbourne, it is not to make Nova popular, its just because its commercial radio! Good luck!"
Good luck for what? I'm not ringing up to get tickets every time they play Sex on Fire, I have never listened to Nova and NOW I have even more of a reason not to. What a tool.

I hate how she is so polite.. i know its not personally her fault, but why did she reply in the first place?!

i know, i would've preferred it if she didn't reply too. she sounds ditzy in a way. i mean i know they obviously get heaps of emails, so i can't really take the shit out of her for not carefully reading what i was trying to tell her. Ahhhhhhhh
I haven't replied to that last one, but i would like to tell her that they should've "supported kings of leon coming to melbourne" about 5 years ago, if they had I'd probably accept what's happening now.
Gosh i'm making this sound like a world crisis.
.....which it is. obviously

All it takes is a fan club presale. Pretty standard stuff. I think the band will get it next go around. Do they do this in the UK? As long as you have a password system it still won't work. The password to any presale always gets all over the internet. The only way it would work is, as coolcamarogirl said, if they used a system like Pearl Jam's, where people in the fanclub get tickets on their website and, if they get them, they get priority seating based on how long they've been a member. Really long-time members get the best seats, new members get the worst. And you only find out what seats you have when you pick up your tickets at the venue the day of the show.

Five people have been arrested in London for allegedly taking part in a ticketing scam that left thousands fans without tickets they had paid for.
It is alleged that Xclusive Tickets Ltd and Xclusive Leisure and Hospitality Ltd took payment for tickets for events, including UK music festivals and the Beijing Olympic Games.
According to the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) over 4,000 fans were allegedly scammed.
The Metropolitan Police raided homes and a business on Tuesday night (November 25), arresting four men and a woman in relation to the alleged crimes. They were released on bail after questioning, reports BBC 6music.
The SFO are asking any people who bought tickets from the companies but never received them to contact them at Sfo.gov.uk.
Its a step in the right direction at least..............
