Arizona. It just gets me. The lyrics aren't like WOW THEY ARE AMAZING, but they just sound so good.
EDIT: Oh and Soft. Cos it's funny. Ohh and Pistol of Fire. Ok I'll stop.

Lyrically definitely The Runner!! Every time I hear that I song I'm close to tears because of the desperation and sadness.
Also Soft because it's just so damn sexy McFearless because it's just powerful Fans because who doesn't want to hear their idol sing those lyrics to them? Four Kicks because to me those are the most balls to the walls bad ass lyrics ever!

Lyrically, I'd say True Love Way. Every single line is gorgeous! It's my idea of a perfect love song, personally. I'd also say The Runner, Manhattan, or Cold Desert. In fact I can't even listen to Cold Desert most of the time because it hits me so hard but it could just be the way that he sings it, Im not sure. By the way I too had been singing 'barefoot through the street' although 'stream' is kind of sweet really

It's almost too much to handle.

I never knew the real meaning but always guessed from the lyrics. I'm pretty sure that, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, that Caleb wrote that when he'd pissed off everyonei n the band for a couple of days and then he started singing that "I talked to Jesus..." and it was like his way of forgiving himself and making everyone else forgive him as well.

i have to say i can't really decide now what KOL song i can identify with lyrically...i'll have to think about that for a while.. BUT i really like the lyrics to mcfearless, when i'm heaving a shitty day...you know when you get up in the morning and all you can think about is 'this is going to be one of the worst days of my life' because of something you gotta do that day. it kinda makes me feel 'f*ck it, i'm gonna do my best and even the shittiest day on earth has an end'

^^that's really great that mcfearless does that for you kultbert. I'm finding it hard to narrow this down to one song - but at this point I don't think I will be going for anything from OBTN, which I find interesting, 'though cold desert is strong. YAYM and ASH are consistently great for lyrics. edit: Ok final decision : king of the rodeo - some truly neat phrases - evocative but not in an obvious way and just because I have a lot of fun singing along to it.

I think Wicker Chair's lyrics are amazing. They seem so desperate and it really makes you feel like the person Caleb's singing about has completely lost it and has no chance.

Lyrically, hmmmmmmmmmm
I'll go with Soft...no huge impact on me emotionally, but I can't get over how hilarious it is haha
I'm passed out in your garden i'm in I can't get off so soft I'd pop myself in your body I'd come into your party, but i'm soft
Brilliant!!

Probably Arizona , Wicker Chair and Cold Desert are the three main lyrical ones for me - they are all very honest , I know most of their songs are honest, but these three just stick out for me , cos i know the story behind them, like with Arizona , Caleb is singing about something he did which isn't nice, but he's being honest about it and made a beautiful song out of it, and i dunno i just like it lol. Then Wicker Chair is so raw , it's basically Caleb pouring his heart out Then Cold Desert - well that explains itself really it's just such an honest personal moment that was happening right then and that was recorded!

He doesn't have sex with her, though, because he thinks she's too beautiful to be a hooker and he can't figure out why she's working in a whorehouse.
