The Auckland show last night was amazing. I was pretty close the the front, we were all packed in like little sardines. When the Kings came on everyone went insane. If you have standing tickets and want to be near the front be prepared to get fucked up!!! but in a good way, ha! The Kings were definatley on form, they were well and truely awsome, Wellington and ChCh you're in for a real treat, just remember to make as much noise as you can, show your support, they like that. I wish i could go back in time and do it all again. Who knows when they will grace our shores again. But alas, i will now be giving myself a wee break from the boys, sadly my love for them is dwindling, I have woken up to the fact that our precious little secret is out, could be something to do with all the new fans (sorry if that's anyone reading this) but it's a bit of a turn off, i sooooo dont want them to be mainstream, bashed on crappy radio stations and worn out. I'm sure alot of you oldies know what i mean. But lets see what the next album brings. We all know it will be great, but in what direction it will take them? we will have to wait and see.

You can't like one of your favourite bands anymore because they've become too popular??? I'm sorry but I just don't understand your way of thinking. To me all that matters is the music - I either love it or I don't. All the other stuff is just....stuff. Popular, unpopular. Fashionable. Unfashionable. Radio play. No radio play. Whatever. It's all just totally irrelevant. It's only about how the music makes me feel. Anyway - I am happy for you that you had such a great time. I am also insanely jealous as I missed out on seeing them this time around

Hehe, Nacho was so cute at the Auckland show. He was setting up Matt guitar and there was a floor fan infront of him and it was blowing his hair around, kinda like a cheesy video clip or something. It was funny. Oh and Luger Boa, you lucky ducks, i would love to see them too. Have fun!!!

Ok now i feel like a right fucking twat!!! What the hell was i thinking? Sure it is a bit of a turn off (the mainstream thing i cant help that i feel that way), but these guys are amazing, i've never liked a band as much as them. At the end of the day it IS all about the music, and if the musics good them i'm on board! I guess they can't stay young and long haired forever, the pixie caleb days are gone, like any band they are going to want to grow and change. aaahhhhh i feel much better now.

Wow. I am sooo jealous of anyone who is going to the Chch concert. I was at the Wellington one last night and... I WANNA GO BACK IN TIME!!! lol I was a little disappointed because I had a shitty view of Caleb (*sigh*) and that they didn't play Fans, Cold Desert, Be Somebody or McFearless (my fave), but all in all they were FREAKING AWESOME. Sooo good live and man, when you can't hear the band over the audience singing (sex on fire, use somebody and charmer) you know they are something special. I'm a fan from the early KOL days so I was quite pleased that they played quite a few of the golden oldies (red morining light, slow night, so long etc.) and not just all the new stuff for the new fans. So enjoy the gig Chch people....and if you get to see Caleb tell him I love him lmao!!

I've been really bad and not been keeping upto date on any reviews from Oz and NZ. But THEY PLAYED RED MORNING LIGHT? Are you serious? Now I'm going to have to go back 93 pages and read the whole lot of reviews.

I got so angry...so did the boys, i saw Nathan say, in disbelief "It fuckin hit me!!" thats why Caleb did the cut-throat sign so they cut a few songs from the set. BUT apart from those idiots, the gig was FANTASTIC!!

OK so last night I went to the Wellington show, and it was AMAZING. Me and my friends got to the second row of the standing area, RIGHT IN FRONT OF CALEB!! We were standing waiting for Luger Boa to come on for ages, entertaining ourselves by waving at Nacho (he totally waved back -hahaha success!). Turns out Luger Boa were pretty bad, I dont mind their songs on the radio, but the sound was wierd and their lead singer was unneccessarily cocky. And wearing a womans scarf. Not a crime in itself, i know, but everyone was really impatient throughout their set. Then they left and we watched the set up, which was actually quite cool. Nacho did the thing with the fan that someone mentioned before, but he added in a bit of a hip-wiggle! I dont remember the excact order of the setlist (* is correct order though) *closer *crawl *taper *my party *kotr CALIFORNIA WAITING!!!! revelry milk fans red morning light mollys four kicks sex on fire wasted time the bucket on call *use somebody *slow night --------------- *knocked up *manhattan *charmer which pretty much covers all of my favourites! they seemed a lot more confident/relaxed than last time (i didnt notice the glowstick thing, one hit me though... what time did that happen?) Just before taper, caleb pointed at the g/a section and said "here we have people standing up" and we all cheered, then he pointed at the stands and was like "but these people are sitting down" we all booed and they stood up and he laughed... He also said something about the MTVs before they played revelry, but I had an uncontrollable desire to scream my lungs out every time he spoke, so I dont know what he said.... what song did they play for them? was it sex? I dont remember them playing sex on fire, it was crazy, the guy behind me had his arms over my mouth and I couldnt breathe, and think I blacked out a bit so I moved back a bit and just rocked out by myself! Unfortunately I lost my shoe in the process, and today I am one giant bruise with no voice... wait, I do remember singing the "feels like you're dying" bit and thinking it was kind of ironic... Closer was amazing, I could see all of them and it was just intense, caleb singing his heart out and me standing there like "matts playing his guitar with his teeeeeeth". Another highlight was knocked up, i got a litte (just a little) overwhelmed and stood there doing my o who-a who-oh ohs with tears in my eyes.... umm... other random observations: nathan had to be lifted up onto the raised platform where his drumkit was. Nacho's hair swishes when he runs. Caleb's acoustic guitar has this cool sparkly red design on it. matt will get (another) complaint for smoking onstage, i bet. Nathan had a model AFL helmet attatched to his drumkit. And, just my opinion, Jared needs to shave... There was no devil song last night, but there were a couple of chords of it in the encore i think... they had a wee conversation in between manhattan and charmer, pointing at stuff and shaking their heads. Actually, that might have been the glowstick-cutting songs out bit, because they usually have a 4 song encore dont they? Anyways, this is a retardedly long comment, have fun at the christchurch show and dont throw too much stuff! and dont strangle girls in the moshpit! EDIT: sorry, im still out of it as you can tell by my lack of punctuation...

What kind of wankers would throw glowsticks on stage, that would kinda hurt if it hit ya in the face huh. At the Auckland show a few plastic cups got thrown. Why would anyone go to a concert and throw shit at the band. Knickers are one thing but glowsticks is just plain rude!!!!!! Some people cant help but be obnoxious.

The culprit would probably find themselves getting beaten up for sure! In fact if anyone does it near me next time I might smack them up a bit! Seriously though, some people are such dicks! I'm very jealous you're getting RML! Thanks for all the reviews
