meh I don't care if they get old. all I care about is their music. it's not the fact that they changed their style with this album, that ain't the problem. it's that the change they've chosen is fairly crap. I can already notice myself becoming less interested in them and if I don't like their next album(if they have one!) I definitely won't be bothered with them anymore

Hey, thought about all this recently. I've had many little panic attacks about not getting tickets. Also, i don't like the 'cool people' that you meet at parties and you have the musictalk and they have moved on to bands like Elbow and they listen to Bon Iver and Seasick Steve now, bla bla. And they say, no i wasn't keen on the new KOL album etc, etc. I can accept the new album is different but its also just one album so i don't really get this whole lets move on factor by some people. I'm 25 and i feel that all of the Kings albums have reflected a time in my life that they came out and were totally relevant. At the mo, i get a sort cold, by-myself vibe from OBTN which suits what i'm feeling and where i'm at in life now soooo i feel awkward and sad that i still want to talk about KOL to the coolheads and they don't want to listen. But also they are the only band that i get both nostalgia and hope from at the same time. My other two fav bands would probably be Led Zeppelin and Ocean Colour Scene which leads to only feeling of nostalgia coz they probably won't ever be back. Meh, i'm rambling. When i like something i like something though even if Kings spilt up i'll probably like their own work eg. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss - the Ledheads hate it, i like it and also there will be another Killer band out in like ten years which i will hopefully get into, its the law of record companies to finally give talent a break every now and again!

I think that if they have the energy that Tina Turner has now, it'd be worth it. Seen her live. Her younger backup dancers couldn't keep up. I know!! that woman is AMAZING  in the looks department kol...... I they'll all age gracefully.....if they stop at least a little of their hard partying ways. I am convinced that Jared will look like the next Johnny Depp when he hits 40...haha, Matt, if he looks after himself would look alright too. Caleb, I think he'll look alot like his dad, its hard to tell, his look has changed so dramatically in the last years....and Nathan, well, I don't think he'll change a bit, I'd say he'd might get a bit of a belly myself in 10 years though, he's so into his food and wine and the munchies.  music wise..... I think they'll be very savvy about it all. They are aware of keeping things fresh and if they can't do that I think they'll do a hiatus with side projects. I know Jared is well up for playing with others at least...and Nate and Caleb might do a country album Nate's a good singer now too y'all hear  |

Haha, even when KOL are old, fat and bold....I will still love them as long as they release at least one more Aha Shake style album ....lol....i can grow old with them, but hopefully I won't go bold too, doesn't suit girls  |

yesyesyes and yes i am afraid of that...i mean im terrible with kings of leon and i know exactly what you mean by not your band anymore, when i first got the album i wouldnt send it to anyone i just wanted it for myself..i know that sounds soso childish, and sex on fire...ugh i had that song in july and look at it now. And when i found out use somebody had been released it just i dunno..it made that song a lot less meaningful it me /:
my friend even text me that day saying 'GREAT, i cant believe they've released it, i loved that songs now i get to watch awful ads ruin it'
