^^ LOL, its a scary thought! a girl at my work thinks she's so cool because every time Bon Jovi play Scotland stadiums she goes, i told her if any band i loved started doing that shit every year (presumably it is just for the money and not the fans!) unless they were actually the Rolling Stones they would make me want to vomit because i believe the soul goes out of bands when they start that, they purely just do it for the money, how can anyone justify charging £70 for some poor bugger to be landed a seat at the very back of a stadium where you cant see jack shit! sorry rant over people  |

I'd rather KOL stop playing venues than doing it just for the money.

I think that if they have the energy that Tina Turner has now, it'd be worth it. Seen her live. Her younger backup dancers couldn't keep up. But if the boys can't hack it, I wouldn't want them to do the Rolling Stones thing. I'd want them to do the Henry Rollins thing.  |

Also, I say it's partly our fault as well. We want so much for them that we do all we can to support them.
My friend, bless her soul, I love her to death, but she is a Jonas Bro fan. I introduced her to KOL & I see her as being a true fan but I also see her as a little giddy fan swooning over boys in tight pants. She goes to the shows with me and likes the music so I feel I have no position to judge her as a fan. But it makes me curious as to whether they're are tons of other people out there like her.
It gives me a bit of a shudder because I know I did this. I wouldn't shut up about them when YAYM came out. Now she can't shut up about it. Nor can the media and the teeny-bopper fans. *sigh*

i love KoL so much...and i would stay with them even if they were as commercial as Miley Cyrus (well...maybe that's taking it a bit too far) but i just *gahhh* like Sex On Fire has gotten so much radio/tv play and now all of these people who ONLY KNOW THAT ONE SONG (which by the way is NOT one of their best) will be like *omg i like LOVE Kings of Leon!!!* and it's just *GNYYAAAA!* and this girl at my school who is just this stupid, idiotic, skank-face is like *omg i heart kol!* and i'm like *oh yeah, what songs do you like?* and she's like *your sex is on fire!* and i'm like *oh, you mean SEX ON FIRE?* and she's like *yeah watevss* and i'm like *do you like any other songs?* and she's like *i don't know any!* and i'm like *so then you only know one song?* and she's like *chyeah* and THEN MY GOD SHE'S LIKE *oh and that guitar guy, jareth? yeah he is so hot!* and that's when i lost it...i'm like *JARETH? i just think calebs voice is getting better as he gets older. personally, i wont ever stop listening to there old music if they get worse, but by the way they're going i cant see that happening. I have only really took intrest after there single sex is on fire but i wish i had heard of them before they released that as its as if i have 'jumped on the kol bandwagon haha' as my sister says. but its not as if i even if i just like them for there new singles. i love every single song ever by KINGS OF LEON Cant wait to go see them on the 8th of december IN LIVERPOOL Wooo. I think people are annoyed at there success a bit as the old fans arnt getting to see them in concert and stuff as most are sold out  |

I've been a major KOL Fan for ages im not too fond of their last two albums, but ASHB and YAYMH mean soo much to me that there’s nothing they can do to keep me from loving the boys for ever, im a tad annoyed about their main stream success now days but when it comes down to it, they differently deserve the fame they are now getting. good on them. long live KOL.

I'm excited. No two albums have been the same yet, I'm not a huge fan of OBTN, theres a few tracks I like but I still go back and listen to YAYM and ASH if I want to listen to the Kings. That said, Album 5 will be make or break for me, if it gets any more "commerical" then I will stop following them, if it goes for a new sound and "throws us a loop like they promise" I will stick by them with intruigue.

I agree with everything you just said.. i listen primarily to ASH and Y&YM, and can appreciate that they change (musically) with every lp. Number 5 will definately be a catalyst for weather i step off the bandwagon or continue.. OBTN (to me) is mediocre, so i'd say i've had a pretty good run with the band and that if No.5 is crap, then its time to seek out a new unknown band (well, kol arent unknown anymore  ) |
