Nice plan Schnucams! I hope they do it too. And i really want to hear something like Day Old Blues or Talihina Sky live but i don't get my hopes up. Not very likely i don't think. And how early do you need to be there to try get up front?

You lucky peeps. If i don't get a ticket i'll be the weird girl sitting in the snowboarding jacket outside with bottle of Jameson to keep myself warm, haha! The place is meant to be soundproofed properly this time so probly won't hear a goddamn thing. Ah well, goin to see the Boosh in January there. Question, is there a pub that ya'll are planning on going to? whenever there's a good concert on you tend to meet a few stragglers in every bar. ie. Bruce Springsteen - loadsa peeps were in Flannerys. Meh, anywho.

Just saw this on entertainmentireland.ie M83 Announced as Kings of Leon Support 15 December 2008
Those of you who believed the rumours that U2 were planning to support Kings of Leon at The O2 this Friday were partially right; there will be a numerically-titled act in the opening slot, but it won't be Bono and co.
Instead, French electro act M83, whose latest album 'Saturdays=Youth' is quite lovely, will support the Tennessee quartet at their sold-out gig.If I didnt want to get so close to the stage I'd happily avoid this!!! Anyway I'm not convinced u2 wont make an appearance..............maybe mid-set for a bit of a duet???!!??!!

I really wanna know if there's going to be a pit at the new Point. If there isn't then I won't have to get there for doors opening. I'm too little to see if I'm not down the front.

^^ just called the 02 no pit and no parking!!! I quite like the way there's no pit. That way everyone is equal. I think pits are becoming a thing of the past.

Brilliant - thanks for doing that Snuchams!!!! Pits are definitely an Irish thing and because I lived in the UK for so many years I just can't get used to them - they piss me off!
Yay, this way I can go to my studio's Xmas work drinks for some free booze first!!!

^^ I'd say kings will come on about 8.45 - 9 for sure! U could get food/drink in IFSC somewhere, theres loadsa places around there and its only about 10/15mins walk from there. Also I heard there was shuttle buses going from stephens green to 02 but I dont know how true this is!!

^^in relation to the u2 rumour, Bono and the Edge have already been the first artists to play in the new point. They performed a few songs for harry crosbie and some other guests. Its gonna be on the View tonight at 11.15pm. Still not convinced they won't show up friday night though....Gawd i need to be at this gig
