i love the lyrics to "revelry"...it's weird, i was never in a situation like that but i can understand what he wants to say in that song.
and i love the part in "notion" when he sings 'i just want to know if i can goooo hoooome' and 'everyone says i don't knooooohoooow'
his voice is class on this album.

The lyrics on this album are so beautiful, i pretty much love all of Cold Desert but i can't listen to this song it just makes me an emotional wreck, I was at my friends and she was playing the album and Cold desert came on and all of a sudden i started crying she was like whats wrong? and ive now decided i cant listen to it anymore, if they play it live im F****d! im gonna be wailing like a child! LOL anyhoo back to the lyrics, my faves have to be on Revelry, there just something else "what a night for a dance you know im a dancing machine" - yep Caleb we're sure aware of your gyrating abilities!  "in the dark of the night I can hear you calling my name with the harvest of hearts i still feel full of pain" "I told myself boy away you go, it rained so hard it felt like snow" "born to run baby like a stream down a mountainside" God that song is just beautiful! and all the lyrics in Notion, i love the way he sings it |

I wish there was a bit more mystery to the lyrics, I loved that in Y&YM & ASH, it takes you ages to figure them out & stuff, I miss that.

Yeah, i can just imagine them recording it, Matthew sitting there with his acoustic guitar, tinkering along to it(no idea why it's acoustic...maybe it's that Johnny Cash clip getting to me ) with Caleb singing thighs in the background somewhere It's naughtier than stars so...my mind clung to that i guess |
