When I buy an album I usually don't bother looking at the lyrics cause its normally not too difficult to work out but KOL are another kettle of fish altogether! Actually most of the time I don't even bother to learn album track names, I usually only know the names of the popular ones on radio and track numbers for the rest!! Anyhoo.....some KOL lyrical bloopers I've made: In My Third House, I was sure Caleb said "I'm taking a bath and you don't know" as opposed to "I'm taken aback...."  I thought he was just being kinky or something!!! In soft I thought it was "south"  In The Bucket I thought it was "you kick the bucket and Ill swing my lead" In Wicker Chair I thought it was "auspicious and nobody cares" I actually could go on but I wont!! ooh i like this idea schnucams! well a few off the top of my head! In king of the rodeo i used to think the opening line was 'he sold the purity at 7 in the morning' In pistol of fire where caleb sings 'one in the same' i used to think it was banana sam... LOL!! (dont ask me why, i never thought it made sense.. i thought it may have been some southern thing?) In four kicks i thought the first words were 'hot men dont take no nonsense' (haha i even make myself laugh with that one!) uhmm, thats all i can think of right now, but theres more trust me! haha  |

I have so many it's not even funny. I learnt the lyrics just by listening to them (i'm still not sure on some now/have my own versions). The only one i can remember is Arizona, i used to think "she shakes, like a morning railway" was "she shakes, like i'm on a railway" haha |

Well, the first times I listened to the albums, I just go with the intonation... and then I go searching for the lyrics.
Altough I was very wrong with the black thumbnail ones one time lol:

Its so easy to get the lyrics wrong with KOL, i do it all the time! I thought in king of the rodeo he sang "get a tattoo roller" instead of good times to roll on?? and my friend thinks he sings " me and mo driving in the snow" instead of "me and your cold driving in the snow" I used to think he sang "dont put no spell on me" in black thumbnail. God theres probably so much more but i cant think of them at the moment. |
