i can see that... it'dve been better if it was recorded then I think lol, my favourite is probably I want you Im having trouble with I Want You at the moment, its one I will get into once im overplaying the other tracks I expect. It's just so much like Weezer! I thought it sounded like Weezer too but that's not so bad. I like the song - it's funky

Its a mainstream album (record company driven), with alot of their censored/inuendo lyrics missing. Sex on Fire? Also I think you should listen a little closer to I Want You, because if he's saying what I'm hearing then it's more graphic than I've ever heard KoL before. what?what's he saying?

Okay, so I caved and downloaded it.
I LOVE Use Somebody(my fave; it's beautiful), Be Somebody, Manhattan and Crawl. I think Sex on Fire, Revelry, Cold Desert and Closer are just alright. I really, really dislike I Want You and 17.
I Want You is just..strange and boring. 17..no no no. What is it with their obsession of 17 year olds? haha, i kid i kid! But really, this whole song gets on my nerves. From his voice, the bells, and I just think the song doesn't flow very well. It's really choppy.

Hi everyone. Whew. I'm still pretty undecided. There are tracks i just love.. and others i am like Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm about. I agree with whoever said 17 sounds like it should have been on ASH, and probably should have been recorded back then. That makes total sense to me. I heard it and I was like "this sounds like older stuff, but with the newer sound".. just sounds a little odd to me, if that makes sense. I LOVE Closer. It's def my favorite so far.. LOVE Use Somebody (i knew from the clip we heard way back that it would be awesome) And i like I Want You because of the durty old school kings innuendos . Cold Desert is good.. but the false ending isnt really doing it for me. Its a little odd. I have probably listened maybe 15-20 times and this one is certainly a grower.. Pretty different from what we are used to eh? There is definitely brilliance here though. Just not loving all the songs.. but to be honest, some of the other, older stuff had to grow on me too. They really went in a different direction this time, which i can respect from an artistic standpoint. But from a KoL hardcore fan standpoint.. I'm just not sure about all of it yet. My two cents .

alot of the album is boring. i was listening to it and before i knew it it was at the end, which just proves nothing caught my ears. the hoo hoo hoo in revelry is realllly good but other than that it's just... bland i want you is the best but still a bit boring

It's not my favorite track but it's certainly not the worst either eh, maybe it's just me

Start listening around 2:41. "homeboy so proud, he finally got the video proof. the night vision shows she was only ducking the truth...." the rest makes even ME blush and that's saying a lot LOL. Basically i think he is talking about a sex tape or something of that nature. Let me know if it still doesnt make sense after you listen to that bit.

I dont get why they just used Matt as an effect to add to songs. Almost every song revolves around Jareds bass and they just sprinkle the songs with guitar. Very confusing as Matt is a talented guitarist

Very confusing as Matt is a talented guitarist Yeah I did think that... there's barely a proper guitar solo on the whole album, but it's an interesting style to experiment with. This probably isn't going to be their last album and there's plenty of time to explore different directions to build up a varied and full catalogue of songs.

I dont love this album as a whole, but there are bits about it i think are awesome. But you are so right. This is ONE album. There will be lots more (hopefully ) that they will change up their style on even more. The only unfortunate thing is that it might be a while because these boys are long overdue for a little R&R LOL. It's all about building the catalog and this album definitely adds variety!!
